With deep sorrow, we mourn the passing of Bashir Ahmad Bhat, famously known as Bashir Qutur β€” a legendary comedian and actor of Jammu and Kashmir. His unmatched contribution to Kashmiri folk theatre and comedy has enriched our cultural heritage in ways words cannot express. This is a tremendous loss to the artistic and cultural fabric of our land.

I am deeply pained by the passing of Pabung Ratan Thiyam, an iconic figure in Indian theatre β€” a legendary playwright, visionary director, cultural reformer, and former Chairperson of the National School of Drama.

His remarkable contributions to the world of art and theatre elevated Indian performing arts to global recognition. His creative genius and commitment to cultural expression will forever remain a source of inspiration.

On behalf of the All Kashmir Folk Artists Association, I offer my heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family, friends, admirers, and the entire artistic community.

Mega Event Celebrating 'Bharat Sanrachna - 2025' Concludes Successfully at SKICC, Srinagar

Srinagar, October 27, 2023 β€” The grand celebration of 'Bharat Sanrachna - 2025' took place today at SKICC, Srinagar, marking a historic milestone in promoting cultural unity and national development. The event was presided over by Hon’ble Jenab Ghulam Ali Khatana, who graced the occasion with his esteemed presence and provided inspiring leadership throughout the program.

The event was attended by distinguished dignitaries, cultural activists, and representatives of the All Kashmir Folk Artists Association J&K (UT), including Shah e Jahan Ahmad Bhagat, Chairman of the Association; Sajad Hussain Kumar, Organizer; Fayaz Ahmad Rather, General Secretary; Manzoor Ahmad Shah, Deputy Chairman
