*ARTO Bandipora Realizes Rs. 1.69 Lakh Fine During Enforcement Drive*

Bandipora, September 10:
As per the directions of Transport Commissioner, Vishesh Mahajan and Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Bandipora on Wednesday conducted an intensive enforcement drive under the supervision of Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Bandipora, Mudasir Ahmad Wani.

The enforcement drive was carried out at Sumbal and Bandipora, during which a total of 118 challans were issued against violators of traffic and motor vehicle rules. A fine of Rs. 1,69,500/- was realized on the spot.

Speaking on the occasion, the ARTO Bandipora said that such drives are being conducted regularly across the district with the twin objectives of ensuring road safety and enforcing strict compliance with traffic regulations.

He appealed to all drivers and vehicle owners to adhere to traffic rules in letter and spirit to avoid penalties and to safeguard the lives of all citizens.

A Free Medical Camp of significant scale and impact was organized by Quality Health Care Hospital, Kupwara, in close collaboration with the Indian Army 2nd Battalion Rajput Rifles, Vilgam, at the premises of Voice of Iqra Educational Institute, Tarathpora.

The camp brought together a distinguished panel of medical specialists, including a Gynaecologist, Paediatrician, Orthopedic Surgeon, Dental Surgeon, General Physician, General Surgeon, and the eminent Gastroenterologist, Dr. Wani Ab. Majid, whose expertise was a particular highlight of the occasion. The medical team rendered free consultations across multiple disciplines, thereby addressing a broad spectrum of health concerns. In addition, essential medicines were distributed without cost, ensuring that the benefits of the initiative extended well beyond medical advice.
