President of the Coaching Centers Association Jammu and Kashmir, Lateef Masoodi, has urged the government and educational institutions to make early preparations for the upcoming November examinations, warning that the approaching winter could disrupt students’ academic schedules. In a detailed statement, Masoodi said that once temperatures drop sharply, students in several parts of the Union Territory face hardships due to inadequate heating, poor infrastructure, and limited transportation. He called for timely installation of heating systems in exam halls, uninterrupted electricity, and effective snow clearance measures around examination centers.
Masoodi appealed to the authorities to ensure reliable transport connectivity, particularly for students in remote and hilly districts, so they can reach centers without difficulty. “The examinations are crucial for students’ future, and no child should be deprived of the opportunity to perform well due to weather constraints,” he said. He also urged close coordination between school heads, coaching centers, and district administrations to ensure smooth conduct of exams. The Association reaffirmed its support for the government’s efforts to create a fair, safe, and student-friendly academic environment across Jammu and Kashmir.@KTv Khalid Moin
