9 Gamblers Apprehended in Anantnag, ₹64,900 Recovered
Anantnag, Sept 29 (KF): In a major crackdown on gambling activities, police on Sunday apprehended nine gamblers in Anantnag and recovered stake money amounting to ₹64,900 from their possession.
The operation was led by SHO Saddar Police Station Anantnag, Mr. Majid Khan, along with D.O Janglat-Mandi, Nisar Ahmad. Following the arrest, a case has been registered at Saddar Police Station Anantnag, and further investigation is underway.
Police have reiterated their commitment to act tough against such social evils and urged the public to cooperate in curbing unlawful activities in the district. (KF)
