I am a Kashmiri.
> I have had an entirely different childhood from yours.
> I was arrested while on my way to School and beaten mercilessly by the Indian Army. I still don't know what the reason was.
> My Dad is missing for more than 10 years now; don't know if he's even alive.
> My Mother was r***d in front of me by the Indian Army and I couldn't do anything.
But she is bold, living and taking care of the family like an Angel.
> My sister has faced sexual abuse, multiple times, by the Indian Army.
> I was proven a terrorist when I was in 8th grade.
> My Uncle was shot in the head for no fault of his.
> My house has been raided many times, without any reason; Army broken stuff and all that.
> My friend lost his life while buying something for his sister. It was a gr***de attack.
> My cousin lost his eye after a bullet hit him.
> I have witnessed numerous mass killings by the Indian Army, seen the snow turn red.
> I don't know what freedom of speech is.
> My aunt still waits for her son to be back, who was taken by Indian Army in the early 90's. She only had one son.
> I am being mistreated everywhere in India, because I am a Kashmiri.
> I am always the only one in queue who gets questioned for who I am.
> I don't know what peace is.
I am a Kashmiri and I'm proud. AlhamduLillah.
