DC Ganderbal Reviews Medical Preparedness for SANJY-2025

GANDERBAL, JUNE 13: In view of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2025, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore today convened a meeting to review the medical preparedness in the district here in the VC Room of DC Office, Ganderbal.

During the meeting, the Chief Medical Officer briefed the DC about the status of healthcare arrangements being put in place along the yatra route. This included the deployment of medical staff, availability of medicines, ambulances, oxygen booths, and accommodation infrastructure for medical personnel.

It was informed that adequate Base Hospitals, Medical Aid Camps, and Emergency Aid Centres have been established at identified locations, which are equipped with essential medical equipment, medicines, and trained medical and paramedical staff to ensure timely and efficient healthcare services during the Yatra period.

The DC stressed the importance of ensuring complete readiness of all healthcare services well before the commencement of the Yatra.

He emphasized the need for robust coordination among all medical teams deployed along the route to facilitate seamless medical care to the pilgrims.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Syed Fahim Bihaqi, Chief Medical Officer, Block Medical Officer Kangan, and other concerned officials of the Health Department.

*Foolproof security in place for smooth conduct of Amarnath Yatra: LG Sinha*

Srinagar, June 11 : Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha today said that foolproof security arrangements are in place for smooth conduct of the annual Amarnath Yatra that will commence from July 3.

After reviewing the arrangements for Amarnath Yatra in Baltal, LG Sinha said Amarnath Shrine Board and the Jammu and Kashmir administration have made improved facilities available for the pilgrims.

He said that he would request all devotees to visit in large numbers for the holy yatra and pray for progress of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation.

"There is no need to worry about anything as administration and security forces, including Jammu and Kashmir police, Army, CRPF, CAPF, and other agencies have made foolproof security arrangements for smooth conduct of the yatra," he said

Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar Stages Protest Over PRI Fund Misuse, Seeks Early Panchayat Polls

Ganderbal, June 11, 2025 – J&K United Movement Party President Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar on Tuesday led a protest against the Government, alleging that PRI funds are being allocated without the consent of Gram Sabhas in several panchayats.

He called this a violation of democratic norms and demanded immediate transparency in fund distribution. Jabbar also urged the Government to restart RDD works to combat growing unemployment and appealed for early Panchayat elections to restore grassroots democracy.
