Entrepreneurs demand possession of land at IE Pampore

Srinagar, Jan 14: Entrepreneurs who have been allocated land at the Industrial Estate (IE) Pampore are demanding prompt possession of the allotted land to commence their ventures.

Expressing their concerns, a group of entrepreneurs has issued a statement appealing to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene and facilitate the possession process, for which they have completed all required formalities.

District Magistrate Jammu Sachin Kumar Vaishya has urged the public not to panic and rush to the petrol pumps.

He has assured the public that there is enough stocks of petroleum products in the district and there is no need to panic. He has appealed to the public to avoid panic buying and hoarding of petroleum products, which may create artificial scarcity and inconvenience for others.

He has informed that the district administration is keeping a close watch on the supply and distribution of petroleum products and has instructed the petrol pump owners and dealers to ensure regular and adequate supply to the consumers. He has also requested the public to cooperate with the administration in maintaining order at the petrol pumps and society in general.

"Jammu & Kashmir Government Notifies Timelines for Filling Vacancies"

The Jammu and Kashmir government has notified timelines for referral of vacancies to recruiting agencies to ensure timely filling up of posts.

As per a circular issued by the General Administration Department, all administrative departments have been directed to adhere to the timelines for identifying vacancies and referring them to the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) and Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB)

The departments will have to identify vacancies two months prior to the January 15 deadline, which is November 15 of the preceding year. The proposals will have to be sent for finance concurrence by December 15.

Thereafter, the vacancies will have to be referred to the recruiting agencies by January 15 every year. The departments will also have to submit an annual status report on filling of vacancies by January 31.

"MHA bans Tehreek-e-Hurriyat J&K for 5 years"

The Ministry of Home Affairs Sunday banned the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, J&K for 5 years under UAPA.

In a post on X, Home Minister Amit Shah said that the outfit is involved in forbidden activities to separate J&K from India and establish Islamic rule.

He said that the group is found spreading anti-India propaganda and continuing terror activities to fuel secessionism in J&K.

“Under PM Modi’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, any individual or organization found involved in anti-India activities will be thwarted forthwith,” he said.
