SHRI SAHIL SARANGAL-IPS CHAIRS PUBLIC DARBAR AT WANPORA, NEWA*
Sept. 14````` Demonstrating a proactive and people-centric approach towards community engagement, SSP Pulwama Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS today chaired a Public Darbar at Wanpora, Newa, Pulwama, providing the local people a direct platform to project their grievances and concerns.
A large number of residents from Wanpora and adjoining villages participated in the Public Darbar and apprised the SSP and other officers of various issues concerning their areas.
SSP Pulwama gave a patient hearing to the grievances of the people and assured that their genuine concerns would be examined and addressed/redressed in a timely manner.
The Public Darbar was attended by SP Operations Pulwama, SP Headquarters Pulwama, DySP PC Kakapora, SHO Pulwama and DO Newa, who also interacted with the locals and took note of their concerns.
During the interaction, SSP Pulwama emphasised the importance of continued public cooperation, trust and vigilance in maintaining peace, security and a safe environment in the district, while assuring that issues concerning the people would be dealt with in a fair, responsive and timely manner. He also highlighted drug abuse as a serious concern and called for collective efforts by parents, teachers and the community to curb the menace, stressing that public cooperation is essential to address social evils.
On the occasion, SSP Pulwama Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS also felicitated three students from the area who recently qualified NEET, appreciating their achievement and encouraging them to pursue their academic aspirations with dedication.
The participants appreciated the initiative of SSP Pulwama Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS and expressed their gratitude for personally listening to their grievances, terming the direct interaction with the senior police leadership a welcome step towards further strengthening mutual trust and cooperation.
