The Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Pampore, in association with the Human Rights and Anti-Corruption Forum (HQ-Delhi, J&K UT), proudly announces a Mega Legal Awareness Programme aimed at strengthening community understanding of two vital issues: the Right to Education and the Prevention of Child Exploitation.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 24 September 2025, at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Pampore.
Purpose of the Event

This initiative is part of an ongoing national effort to bring legal literacy to the grassroots. The programme is designed to:

Encourage parents, guardians, and community leaders to enroll every child in school and prevent dropouts.

2. Prevent Child Exploitation

Raise awareness about issues such as child labour, child trafficking, physical and emotional abuse, and online exploitation.

Inform citizens about existing protective laws, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act.

Provide practical guidance on reporting mechanisms such as Childline (1098) and local legal aid cells.
