Baramulla Police Observes Police Commemoration Day 2025 at DPL Baramulla
Baramulla, October 21: Baramulla Police on Tuesday observed Police Commemoration Day 2025 at the District Police Lines (DPL) Baramulla, paying rich tributes to the brave police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
The commemorative function witnessed the participation of contingents from District Police Baramulla, 53 Bn CRPF, 2nd Bn SSB, IRP 13th Bn, and Samman Toli, who took part in the ceremonial parade led by Shri Umar Urfan, JKPS, DySP PC Pattan.
DIG NKR Baramulla, Shri Maqsood-ul-Zaman, IPS took the salute at the parade. On behalf of SSP Baramulla, AdSP Baramulla Shri Hariprasad K.K., IPS, read out the roll of honour, recalling the supreme sacrifices made by police personnel across the nation.
A wreath-laying ceremony followed at the Police Martyrs’ Memorial, where DIG NKR Shri Maqsood-ul-Zaman, IPS, AdSP Baramulla Shri Hariprasad K.K., IPS, ASP Hqrs Baramulla Ms. Neha Jain, IPS, and other senior officers from the Police, Army, and CAPFs paid floral tributes to the fallen heroes.
On the occasion, the DIG NKR distributed tokens of gratitude and artistic sketches of martyrs among their Next of Kin (NoKs), listened to their concerns, and assured timely redressal. Cash rewards were also presented to meritorious students from martyrs’ families in recognition of their academic achievements.
The solemn event concluded with prayers for peace, unity, and the well-being of the families of the bravehearts who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of the nation.
