The 44 Battalion CRPF deployed in hypersensitive parts of District Srinagar and Budgam has been very instrumental in various human development programmes in recent past. Continuing its glorious role in promoting youths for various development activities, this time, unit endeavored in sports activities and accordingly organized a volleyball tournament under its civic action programme with effect from 08/03/3025 to 11/03/2025. Final match was played between H.M.T. Warriors and Palpora Volley Ball club and both teams displayed lot of professionalism and competition in true spirit. In a nail biting match, HMT warriors became victorious. Shri Rishi Raj Sahay, Commandant, 44 Bn presided over the closing ceremony and in presence of Shri Kamlesh Kumar, Second in Command, Shri Shailesh Kumar Pandey, Second in command and various other officers from CRPF and civil departments presented trophies, medal, volleyball kits and cash prizes to both the teams. The chief guest Shri Rishi Raj Sahay, Commandant while deliberating stressed upon the importance of sports in discipline life and progressive future. He stressed that fit youth means fit India and that sports not only develop the feel of competitiveness but also is the greatest stress buster in day to day life. He congratulated all the teams for participating in this tournament very sportingly. Even the efforts of 44 Bn was widely appreciating by all the participants and they desired that such type of events should be organized very frequently. Overall the local mass particularly the youths applauded the efforts and good works of CRPF in not only their role in security but also in nation building.

Article 370 is a closed chapter: Sunil Sharma

“Will not allow any innocent civilian to die in violence; Entire politics of Kashmir revolving around BJP”

Jammu, Mar 06 : Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma on Thursday said that Article 370 is a "closed chapter" and "history." He said that the BJP will not allow any innocent civilian to die in violence in Kashmir.

Speaking during the discussion on the Lieutenant Governor's address, Sharma, reiterated that Article 370 is a "closed chapter."

"The Parliament as well as the Supreme Court has settled the issue of Article 370 forever," he said, adding that those raking up the Article 370 issue want to keep Jinnah's two-nation theory alive.

He said that dialogue with Pakistan is the domain of the Ministry of External Affairs. "Some people here advocated dialogue with Pakistan, but they should understand it is not the domain of the Assembly. The MEA knows when to hold talks with Pakistan," he said.

Sharma also stated that entire Kashmir politics is now revolving around the BJP, with parties blaming each other for being their proxies—(KNO)
