Police Commemoration Day Parade – 2025 observed with reverence at DPL Anantnag Anantnag Police
Anantnag, October 21:
District Police Anantnag today observed Police Commemoration Day – 2025 at District Police Lines (DPL) Anantnag with deep respect and gratitude towards the brave police personnel who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
The parade was held in a dignified manner where DIG south Kashmir Range, Shri Javed Matoo, IPS and SSP Anantnag, Shri Amrit Pal Singh, IPS took the salute. The parade contingents from CRPF and District Police participated in the ceremony, led by Parade Commander DySP Atti-ur-Rehman, JKPS.
On the occasion, SSP Anantnag read out the Roll of Honour, recalling the names and supreme sacrifices of the martyrs who laid down their lives for the security and integrity of the nation. A two-minute silence was also observed to pay homage to the martyrs and to honour their selfless devotion to duty.
The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Sh Fakhrudin Hamid-IAS ,officers from Police, CRPF and Civil Administration, and families of martyrs. Floral tributes were paid at the Martyrs’ Memorial, DPL Anantnag through a solemn wreath-laying ceremony, marking a heartfelt tribute to the fallen heroes.
As part of the day’s observance, a blood donation camp was also organised at DPL Anantnag. DIG SKR and SSP Anantnag led by example by donating blood along with a large number of officers and officials of District Police Anantnag.
To honour the families of martyrs, gifts were distributed as a token of respect and appreciation for their invaluable contribution and sacrifices.
District Police Anantnag remains committed to upholding the ideals of courage, service, and dedication exemplified by the martyrs and continues to draw inspiration from their legacy.
