Story of Burhan Wani:In the summer of 2010, three boys , on their redand white Yamaha FZ bike were roaming thestreets of Tral (a town in South Kashmir) when agroup of cops from Special Operations Group(SOG) of J&K police stopped them and askedthem to buy ci******es for them. One of the ladsgot them ci******es and that’s when the forcesstarted beating them mercilessly. One of theboys fell unconscious. Two escaped. Once at adistance, one of the boys shouted, ‘I will avengethis beating’. He was, then fifteen-year-oldBurhan Wani. A brilliant class 10th student wholoved cricket. The boy knocked unconscious washis brother, Khalid Wani. For, Khalid was not a militant: He wascaught while returning from a meeting with hisyounger brother.Burhan Wani was just 15 years old when he lefthis home to join militancy six years ago. By thetime of his death, on July 8,2016.
