Social Activist Nayeem Farooq Leads Five-Day Drive to Clean Jhelum Banks in Baramulla
Baramulla, September 10: In a commendable effort to protect the environment, social activist Nayeem Farooq has been tirelessly working for the past five days to clean the banks of the River Jhelum across Baramulla town.
Farooq has taken the initiative with a commitment to clean the entire stretch of the riverbanks in the town. However, despite his efforts, some people continue to dump garbage at the same spots, turning cleaned areas into dumping grounds once again.
Appealing to the people of Baramulla, Nayeem Farooq urged residents to stop throwing waste along the Jhelum banks and to develop a stronger sense of civic responsibility.
The Jhelum belongs to all of us, and keeping it clean is our collective responsibility.”
The ongoing initiative highlights the need for public cooperation to protect the river, preserve the environment and ensure that the hard work of those involved in the cleanliness drive does not go to waste.
