JK Teachers Association extends full support to Honrable LG Manoj Sinha's Nasha Mukht Padyatra in Baramulla, urges its cadre to ensure active participation on 12th May.

Baramulla 09 May 2026
The Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Association has hailed the ongoing campaign of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and extended full support to the Padyatra of Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, scheduled to be held in Baramulla on 12th May.

District President Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat urged all members and office bearers of the Association to ensure their active participation in the Padyatra and contribute meaningfully towards the noble cause of making society drug-free.

He emphasized that teachers, being the torchbearers of society, have a vital role in spreading awareness among students and the community about the ill effects of drug abuse and in strengthening the mission of a Nasha-free India.

He further stated that such initiatives not only spread awareness but also foster collective responsibility among citizens to safeguard the younger generation from the menace of substance abuse. The Association believes that community-driven movements like this Padyatra send a strong message of unity, responsibility, and social commitment.

The JK Teachers Association also appealed to parents, civil society members, and youth to join hands in this mission and actively participate in the campaign to eradicate drugs from society. The Association reaffirmed its commitment to support every initiative aimed at building a healthy, aware, and drug-free Jammu & Kashmir.

The press release concluded with a call for solidarity and wholehearted participation to make the Padyatra a grand success and a meaningful step towards realizing the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat
