A wave of grief has swept through Kupwara after a tragic leopard attack claimed the life of a 9-year-old child. The young boy suffered severe injuries during the attack and could not survive.
The heartbreaking incident has raised fresh concerns over increasing encounters between wildlife and local communities. Authorities from the wildlife department have launched efforts to trace the leopard and have urged residents to remain alert and take necessary precautions.

🗝️ آج کی صبح… ہر دروازے کی چابی ایک جیسی نہیں ہوتی 🗝️
زندگی میں ہم اکثر ایک ہی طریقے سے ہر مسئلہ حل کرنے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں، مگر قدرت ہمیں سکھاتی ہے کہ ہر تالا اپنی الگ چابی مانگتا ہے۔ کہیں صبر کام آتا ہے، کہیں ہمت، کہیں خاموشی، اور کہیں ایک نرم مسکراہٹ۔
آج کی صبح یہ پیغام لے کر آئی ہے کہ ہر رکاوٹ کو طاقت سے نہیں، بعض اوقات حکمت سے عبور کیا جاتا ہے۔ اگر کوئی راستہ بند نظر آئے تو مایوس نہ ہوں، شاید اُس کے لیے مختلف سوچ اور نئے زاویے کی ضرورت ہو۔

Food vendors, restaurants, caterers and street food sellers have been advised not to use newspapers for wrapping or serving food.
According to FSSAI, printing ink used in newspapers may contain harmful chemicals and heavy metals such as lead, which can contaminate food, especially hot and oily items. Newspapers may also carry germs and bacteria due to unhygienic handling during printing, transport and distribution.
The advisory comes after a vadapav vendor in Mumbai was found serving food wrapped in newspapers. FSSAI has reiterated that the use of newspapers for food packaging is prohibited under the Food Safety and Standards (Packaging) Regulations, 2018.
Consumers are also advised to avoid eating food served or packed in newspapers and to prefer food-grade packaging materials for better health and safety.

Households across the country will now have to pay more for cooking gas as the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder has been increased by ₹29 with effect from June 7.
This is the second hike in the last three months, following an earlier increase of ₹60 in March. Rising global energy prices and continued volatility in international markets are being cited as the main reasons behind the latest revision.
In Delhi, the retail price of a domestic LPG cylinder has gone up from ₹913 to ₹942.

The weather across Jammu & Kashmir is expected to remain hot and dry till June 10. Day temperatures are likely to increase gradually over the coming days, bringing warmer conditions to most areas.
While the overall weather pattern will remain dry, some higher reaches may witness brief afternoon or evening showers or thundershowers. No major weather disturbance is expected during this period.
The current conditions provide a favorable opportunity for farmers to carry out spraying and other agricultural activities. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours.

🎭 آج کی صبح… زندگی ایک اسٹیج نہیں 🎭
ہم اکثر اپنی زندگی دوسروں کی نظروں سے جینے لگتے ہیں۔ لوگ کیا کہیں گے؟ لوگ کیا سوچیں گے؟ لوگ کیسے دیکھیں گے؟
اور اسی سوچ میں ہم اپنی اصل خوشی، اپنی اصل پہچان اور اپنے دل کا سکون کھو دیتے ہیں۔
آج کی صبح ہمیں یہ یاد دلا رہی ہے کہ زندگی کوئی اسٹیج نہیں جہاں ہر وقت دوسروں کی پسند کے مطابق کردار ادا کرنا ہو۔ یہ ایک امانت ہے جسے سچائی، اخلاص اور اپنے ضمیر کی روشنی میں گزارنا ہے۔
جو انسان خود سے مطمئن ہو جائے، اُسے دنیا کی تعریف کی ضرورت نہیں رہتی۔
