District Level U-19 Cricket Tournament Inaugurated at Showkat Ali Stadium Baramulla

Baramulla, September 27: Minister for Agriculture Production, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, and Election Department, Javed Ahmad Dar today inaugurated the Inter-School/Inter-Zonal District Level Under-19 Cricket Tournament (Boys) at Showkat Ali Stadium, Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla. The tournament was declared open in presence of Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport Department, Satish Sharma, Member Legislative Assembly, Wagoora-Kreeri,Advocate Irfan Hafeez Lone and Member Legislative Assembly Sopore, Irshad Rasool Kar.

The programme began with the National Anthem followed by colourful cultural performances presented by students, showcasing the vibrancy and talent of Baramulla’s youth.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister for Agriculture Production, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, and Election Department underlined the importance of sports in developing physical fitness, discipline, team spirit, and leadership among the youth. He reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthen the sports ecosystem at the grassroots level and to provide ample opportunities for young players to excel.

Speaking on the occasion, Sports Minister Satish Sharma highlighted the department’s initiatives to promote sports culture across Jammu and Kashmir. He said that regular tournaments in various disciplines are being organized to encourage mass participation of students, adding that such events help nurture young talent and contribute to building a healthier and more vibrant future generation.

Later, the Ministers distributed sports kits and equipment among students from 18 zones of the district and felicitated students who performed in the cultural programme.

Kupwara, sep 27 : To commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly known as the Iron Man of India, Kupwara Police on saturday organised a ‘Run for Unity’ in the district.

*GANDERBAL POLICE ORGANISES AWARENESS-CUM-COUNSELING SEMINAR AT HYDERIA MODEL HIGH SCHOOL TULLAMULLA.*

Reaffirming its commitment towards youth engagement and community welfare, Ganderbal Police today organized an *Awareness-cum-Counseling*Seminar at Hydriya Model High School, Tulmulla.*

The event was chaired by *SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS*, who interacted with the parents ,students and faculty members, emphasizing the importance of education, discipline, and positive community participation. He highlighted various social challenges confronting youth, including drug abuse, cyber threats, and peer pressure, while motivating students to adopt a constructive approach towards life. The Senior Police officers of the district and Senior citizens were also present on the said occasion.

During the seminar, *SSP Ganderbal* underscored the vital role of religious Scholars,teachers and guardians in guiding young minds and urged students to remain focused on their academic and moral growth. He assured that *Ganderbal Police* will continue its outreach initiatives to strengthen the bond between police and society, particularly the younger generation.

The participants including students were given appreciation certificates for active participation in the seminar.

The school management and participants expressed gratitude to *Ganderbal Police* for this meaningful initiative, acknowledging the positive impact of such awareness and counseling events on shaping responsible citizens.
