Cong protests against price hike of LPG, petrol, diesel

Congress activists staging protest at Ramnagar on Monday.

Report By Kuldeep Ramnagaria

RAMNAGAR/UDHAMPUR : Congress activists led by senior leader, Navneet Thakur held protest demonstration against the price hike of LPG, petrol and diesel as announced by BJP Govt at the Centre.
Congress workers in the shape of a rally from Ramnagar, reached Ramnagar Bass Adda after passing through the office of SDM, Rambagar They were raising slogans against Union Government and BJP. They blocked College Road at Bus Stand for more than one hour. Massive traffic jam was created there for some time.

While addressing a large gathering, Navneet Thakur said that Modi Government has totally failed to control the prices of fuel/ LPG cylinders. Heavy taxes are being imposed on the public despite the fact that back bone of the people has been broken due to lock downs amidst Corona pandemic.

Without caring for the miseries and sufferings of the people, Prime Minister Narender Modi is taking anti-people decisions. The new Property Tax imposed by the Government of India in J&K UT is the new example of `Nadirshahi Farman’ of BJP Govt.
Navneet Thakur further said that in 2014, BJP had claimed that if they will be voted to power then their Government will reduce the rates of petroleum products but in seven years even in second term Union Government, it is unable to control the hike in prices of petroleum products. He said that increased prices of LPG, petrol and diesel have unbalanced the kitchen budgets of common man.

He criticizing J&K UT Government and alleged that new property tax on every property holder is being imposed on the behest of BJP. Navneet Thakur warned the Government to stop the anti-people policies, otherwise, Congress will go for big agitation in coming days.

CLASS-IV RECRUITMENT

Due importance be given to experience in field jobs: Aijaz Khan

REASI, February 24: Vice President, Apni Party and Former Minister Aijaz Ahmed Khan today urged Lt Governor Manoj Sinha that preference should be given to experience in respective fields while recruiting class 4th in different government departments.
In a statement to the press, Aijaz Khan said that the recruitment of 4th class is going to be conducted as per the schedule in different departments.
“However, the written test cannot ensure the selected candidate would perform in the field. What ensures is their experience in the respective fields which should be given importance more than the written test,” Khan said.
He said that “The Lt Governor should make sure that the recruitment should be conducted while giving importance to experience particularly in fields like agriculture, sheep, animal husbandry, horticulture, forest and others which would help Govt to implement schemes on ground effectively.”
Most of the schemes fail when the officials and field staff are not able to perform on ground due to lack of interest, he said, adding that the Govt should focus on recruiting people having experience as well as interests in the fields.
He said that if a person does not have interest in any of these field jobs what he would contribute when he gets selected in above said departments.
