Punjab Storms into Semi-Finals with a Massive 210-Run Victory in Uttarakhand Gold Cup

Dehradun, June 3: Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) registered a commanding 210-run victory over East Delhi Riders in the Quarter-Final of the 42nd All India Uttarakhand Gold Cup Cricket Tournament, currently being played in Uttarakhand.

Batting first, Punjab posted a formidable total of 305 runs in 50 overs. The innings was anchored by a magnificent 139 runs off 109 balls by Rahul Kumar, who struck 15 fours and 5 sixes and played a match-defining knock. He was well supported by Reavan Preet Singh, who contributed a valuable 81 runs, helping Punjab build a strong platform.

In reply, East Delhi Riders were bundled out for just 95 runs in 26.3 overs, as the Punjab bowlers produced an outstanding all-round performance.

Among the bowlers, Emanjot Singh Chahal starred with the ball, claiming 4 wickets for 29 runs, while Kartik Chadha picked up 3 wickets for 18 runs. Damanpreet Singh and Manpreet Sandhu chipped in with a wicket each, ensuring there was no comeback for the opposition.

With this emphatic victory, Punjab Cricket Association booked its place in the semi-finals of the prestigious tournament.

PCA Secretary Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer closely followed the match and expressed his appreciation for the team's outstanding performance. He congratulated the players and support staff on the comprehensive victory and encouraged the team to maintain the same level of commitment and excellence in the upcoming matches. He also extended his best wishes to the squad for the semi-final encounter.
