: Death toll from the powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake has risen to 312, with 4,611 people injured and 290 still reported missing.

The National Unit for Disaster Risk Management said around 277 buildings have collapsed, while nearly 30,000 homes have been damaged.

National and international search-and-rescue teams remain engaged in operations to locate people still trapped or missing beneath the rubble.

Accused in Prophet Remarks Case Brought to Darhal Hospital for Medical Examination

Darhal: An accused facing allegations of making derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was brought to Sub-District Hospital Darhal for a medical examination as part of the ongoing legal procedure. Police personnel were seen escorting the accused to the hospital. Further legal action will follow as per due process.

Indian Coast Guard’s Daman Air Station conducted a swift operation to save the lives of 9 fishermen who were stuck in a sinking boat.

According to an official press release, the station received a distress call and immediately launched a helicopter to the location.

The rescue operation was conducted successfully, bringing all fishermen to safety. While three injured fishermen received first aid at ICGAS Daman, they were subsequently shifted to a Government Hospital for further medical treatment.
