Admission to PG Programmes (Distance Mode)
Session-2025
On-line Applications are invited from the eligible candidates who have passed the qualifying
examination from recognized Universities /Institutions for admission to the below
mentioned PG Programmes offered through Centre for Distance and Online Education
(formerly Directorate of Distance Education), University of Kashmir for the academic session
2025. The candidates are advised to peruse the Prospectus-2025/Admission Policy,
available on University Website thoroughly and check eligibility/other details before
submitting their Application Forms:-
a) M Com
b) MA Economics
c) MA Education
d) MA English
e) MA Islamic Studies
f) MA/M Sc Mathematics
g) MA Urdu
h) MA Kashmiri
The candidates who have passed their qualifying examination (Bachelors) under
Annual/Semester scheme/ Choice Based Credit System Scheme/NEP-2020 are
eligible for admission to the PG/UG Programme/s only in such subjects where he/she
has earned at least 12 credits in Core or Generic Elective Courses at Under-
Graduation Level. However, for the courses/programmes where there is open
eligibility like MA Islamic Studies etc., the candidates having passed their qualifying
examination in any discipline are eligible/can apply for admission to said
programmes.
NOTE:
1. In adherence to the UGC guidelines, the University of Kashmir has adopted dual
degree mode wherein a candidate can pursue two degrees simultaneously i.e.,
one in regular mode and another in distance mode.
2. Only those candidates shall be admitted in the PG programs whose cell number
is linked with their Aadhaar Card.
