Fake Message Circulates After Official Summer Vacation Order in Kashmir: DSEK Urges Public Not to Fall for Rumours

Srinagar, June 21 (KNS):Just minutes after the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) issued the official order announcing summer vacations for schools across the Kashmir division, a fake message began circulating on WhatsApp groups and social media platforms, falsely claiming that the vacation had been deferred.

Director School Education Kashmir, G.N. Itoo, swiftly responded to the misinformation, calling the message "completely fake and baseless."

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), he said, "A fake message has been circulated on social media regarding the deferment of summer vacation, he said.

We urge the public, particularly students, parents, and school staff, not to fall prey to such rumours," he said.

The official order for summer vacation stands, and any message suggesting otherwise is false. We request everyone to rely only on official channels for updates," Itoo said.

The summer vacation, as per the official order, from 23rd June to July 7, is aimed at ensuring student welfare during the ongoing hot weather and will be in effect as scheduled, he added. (KNS)
