Humanitarian Review of Yasin Malik Case Unjustified, His Own Family Identified Him; Ashok Koul Slams Mehbooba M***i
Srinagar, Sep 20: Bhartiya Janta Party General Secretary Ashok Koul on Saturday reacted to former Chief Minister Mehbooba M***i’s plea to the Home Minister seeking a review of Yasin Malik’s case, saying the request lacks merit.
Speaking to media persons Koul said, “Her family member has identified him in the abduction case. What’s the point of now seeking a review on humanitarian grounds? If that were the case, he shouldn’t have been identified in the first place. The law will take its course.”
He further commented on the narratives surrounding Malik, stating, “I don’t know what was in the mind of the person who held the press conference. These are internal disputes. Malik claims Congress sent him to Pakistan, while others say differently."
"Ultimately, his own family identified him. Stories about who abducted him will continue, but I urge Kashmiris to stay away from such tales. The real face of these leaders has come out, and more revelations will follow," Koul said.
Koul also referred to historical incidents, saying, “Narshima Rao was supposed to send someone, but he sent Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was the opposition leader at that time."
"He had the opportunity to speak for India and refused to malign the country abroad, unlike some past leaders who went abroad to tarnish India’s image," he said. (KNC)
