Deeply disturbing reports are emerging that Engineer Rasheed, Hon’ble MP from North Kashmir, has been subjected to assault inside jail. It is the foremost duty of the authorities to ensure the safety and dignity of every inmate — more so for a representative of the people, elected to the largest temple of democracy.
Request the Ministry of Home Affairs to intervene urgently, ensure his safety, and bring the scrupulous elements involved to task. Engineer Rasheed deserves to represent the voice of his people and his parliamentary constituency without fear or harm.
