Three Youths Inj_ured in Mohindra Ac_cid_ent at Kuttan Bitbrora, Rajgarh

Rajgarh, Ramban A Mohindra vehicle bearing registration number JK19 4027 met with an ac_cid_ent at around 4:00 PM today near Kuttan Bitbrora, Tehsil Rajgarh, District Ramban.
According to sources, three youths sustained minor in_juries and are reported to be safe:-
1. Khalid Rashid (19 years), son of Abdul Rashid Sheikh, resident of Kuttan Bitbrora Driver

Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ramgarh and Former Minister for Health and Medical Education, Jammu & Kashmir (J&K), conducted a comprehensive site visit to Mahal Shahan and Village Palouta to review the proposal for the construction of a Government Office Complex and a Government Guest House.

He was accompanied by Rajesh Sharma (JKAS), Deputy Commissioner (DC), Sandeep Dubey (JKAS), Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Vijaypur, Er. Rajesh Gandotra, Executive Engineer (XEN), Tawi Canal Construction Division, Abhimanyu Kalsotra (JKAS), Tehsildar Ramgarh, Er. Ashok Dubey, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL), Amit Choudhary, Executive Officer Ramgarh, and Neha Choudhary, Block Development Officer Ramgarh.

The proposed multi-purpose infrastructure aims to bolster administrative efficiency, support departmental operations, and enhance the delivery of essential public services in the region.

In an inspiring gesture of community participation, the residents of Mahal Shahan appreciated the initiative, while the residents of Palouta voluntarily offered land for the project. Dr. Manyal lauded their selfless contribution, describing it as a symbol of deep-rooted trust in governance and a collective aspiration for regional development.

Also present during the inspection were the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Ramgarh and Vijay Verma, Station House Officer (SHO), Ramgarh.

The team thoroughly assessed the ground conditions, land feasibility, and essential infrastructural needs. Dr. Manyal emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination and time-bound planning to ensure timely and efficient ex*****on of the project.

This initiative underscores the essence of collaborative governance, where community participation and administrative dedication work hand-in-hand to drive grassroots development.

6 Gram He**in Recovered, 2 Arrested

Katra: District Police Reasi foiled a narcotics smuggling attempt and arrested two individuals with 6 grams of He**in (Chitta) at Kakryal naka on Dhirti road.

During routine checking, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02CP 5240 was intercepted. The two persons riding the motorcycle were identified as Jugal Kishore son of Late Ram Prakash resident of Sool, Tehsil Katra and Mohd. Razak son of Abdul Gafoor resident of Treen, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi.

During the course of checking, 6 grams of he**in (Chitta) was recovered from their possession. Both individuals were immediately taken into custody and the contraband was seized on the spot.

In this regard, a case FIR No. 198/2025 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and investigation is underway to unearth the backward and forward linkages involved in the supply chain.

Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal Conducts Extensive Ward Tour in Ramgarh

RAMGARH : Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, Hon’ble MLA Ramgarh, conducted an extensive tour of all wards in Ramgarh today, following the successful Public Darbar held on July 9 at the Ramgarh Office.
During the visit, Dr. Manyal inspected the present condition of lanes and drains, evaluated necessary repairs, and reviewed both ongoing and proposed developmental works under the jurisdiction of the Ramgarh Municipal Committee. He reiterated his commitment to improving the region’s basic infrastructure and ensuring timely ex*****on of civic works.
As part of the development push, Dr. Manyal announced the allocation of 50 lakh under the Capex Budget for the repair renovation and upgaradation of Community hall of Municipal Committee Ramgarh.
Executive Officer of Ramgarh Municipal Committee, Amit Choudhary, shared details of the current and upcoming development projects.
Abhimanyu Kalsotra (JKAS), Tehsildar Ramgarh, informed that demarcation of land at Mahal Shahan shall be submitted to the government for the proposed Dak Bungalow.
In a major boost to the power infrastructure, AEE JPDCL Er. Ashok Dubey announced the commissioning of a 150 MVA power supply line at Lalyana Meeting, Bishnah a long-pending demand of the public. He thanked MLA Dr. Manyal for his continuous efforts and guidance, which made this long-awaited upgrade possible.
Also present during the visit were former councilors Anil Gupta, Tilak Thappa, Sandeep Gupta, Satish Sharma, and Rinku Choudhary, who appreciated the MLA's proactive approach to development and governance.

BJP Leaders Offer Prayers at Baba Sidh Goria Nath Ji Temple; Mela Concludes with Grand Dangal

RAMGARH : Senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) visited the revered Baba Sidh Goria Nath Ji Temple at Swankha, Ramgarh, where they offered prayers and participated in the concluding ceremonies of the annual seven-day mela. BJP National General Secretary and J&K In-charge Shri Tarun Chugh highlighted the spiritual and cultural unity that such sacred sites uphold, stating that temples like Baba Sidh Goria Nath Ji’s are not only places of worship but also centers of community faith and national heritage. He praised the enduring influence of Baba Ji’s teachings rooted in devotion, discipline, and selfless service, and called on the public to preserve and promote such spiritual legacies.

BJP J&K President Shri Sat Sharma (CA) expressed appreciation for the overwhelming public participation and smooth organization of the mela, thanking the shrine board and local administration for their coordination. He noted that religious events like this not only promote harmony but also boost local economies and spiritual tourism. Shri Sat Sharma reaffirmed BJP’s commitment to protecting Jammu & Kashmir’s religious and cultural assets while supporting community-led events that strengthen the region’s spiritual identity.

BJP J&K General Secretary and MLA Ramgarh Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal informed that the annual mela commenced on July 3 and concluded on July 7, with the traditional dangal (wrestling competition) held on the final day drawing large public interest. He emphasized the shrine’s significance in attracting devotees from across J&K, Punjab, Haryana, and other states, and underscored its potential as a hub for religious tourism. Dr. Manyal also recounted the miraculous life story of Baba Sidh Goria Ji, as shared by Shri Ram Paul Dogra, describing his divine connection with Guru Gorakh Nath Ji and his journey from royal life to sainthood. He assured continued support for the development of the shrine in line with devotees' aspirations.
