Kulgam Police Conduct Anti-Fidayeen Mock Drill at Harnag Railway Station to Strengthen Security Preparedness

Multi-Agency Exercise Involving Army, GRP, RPF and CRPF Aims to Enhance Operational Readiness and Emergency Response

Kulgam, October 14 (KNC): Kulgam Police, in coordination with the Army’s 01 Rashtriya Ri**es (RR), Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) and CRPF personnel from 40, 18 and 90 Battalions, conducted an anti-fidayeen mock drill at Harnag Railway Station to assess security preparedness and strengthen coordination among various security agencies.

The mock drill was conducted at around 5:00 PM as part of efforts to evaluate the operational readiness of security personnel and ensure an effective response to any potential security threat.

During the exercise, road cut-offs were established at designated locations, while participating agencies carried out coordinated response measures to address a simulated security threat. The drill also included measures aimed at ensuring the safe evacuation of passengers and civilians from the affected area.

The exercise provided an opportunity for the participating forces to assess their response mechanisms, coordination and ability to act swiftly during an emergency situation.

The mock drill aimed to enhance operational preparedness, improve response time and strengthen inter-agency coordination to ensure a prompt and effective response to any eventuality.

The coordinated exercise underscores the importance of joint preparedness and cooperation among security agencies in maintaining safety and security at railway stations and other sensitive public locations.(KNC)
