*JKNHMEAK HOLDS MAJOR ORGANISATIONAL MEETING AT SHER-I-KASHMIR PARK*

*Core Committee, District & Block Bodies Deliberate on Future Course of Action for NHM Employees*

Srinagar, August 17, 2026: The Jammu & Kashmir National Health Mission Employees Association (JKNHMEAK) today held a significant and comprehensive organisational meeting of its Core Committee members, District Presidents, District Bodies and Block Bodies at Sher-i-Kashmir Park, Srinagar, to review organisational affairs, strengthen coordination and deliberate upon the future course of action concerning the long-pending demands and welfare of NHM employees across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

The meeting witnessed enthusiastic participation from representatives across Kashmir, reflecting the growing organisational unity and collective resolve of the NHM fraternity.

Among those present were District President Baramulla Javaid Amin, District President Kupwara Naseer Ahmad Wani, District President Srinagar Umar Khan, District President Budgam Fayaz Ahmad Mir, District President Pulwama Muzafar Ahmad Rather and District President Shopian Shaheen Nawaz. Representatives from Ganderbal, Anantnag, Kulgam and Bandipora also participated in the meeting and contributed their views during the detailed deliberations.

The meeting held detailed discussions on strengthening the organisational structure, improving coordination between District and Block Bodies, ensuring effective communication with employees and preparing the entire fraternity for the forthcoming programme.

The leadership reiterated that unity, discipline, patience and collective responsibility will remain the guiding principles of JKNHMEAK. It was emphasised that every District and Block Body has an important role in ensuring that the voice of every NHM employee is effectively represented.

PREPONES CRUCIAL MEETING TO AUGUST 17 #

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 15: The Jammu & Kashmir National Health Mission Employees Association (JKNHMEA) has decided to prepone its crucial meeting from August 18 to August 17, 2026.

The meeting will be attended by all District bodies, Block bodies and Core Committee members and will focus on finalizing the organizational arrangements, coordination and roadmap for the upcoming strike programme of NHM employees across Jammu & Kashmir.

Abdul Rauoof, Chief Spokesperson, JKNHMEA, said:

«“The meeting has been preponed to August 17 in view of the prevailing situation and the need for urgent coordination at every level. This meeting will be crucial in finalizing the arrangements and strategy for our upcoming programme. I appeal to all District, Block and Core Committee members to ensure their participation and remain united, disciplined and fully prepared. Our collective strength and unity will determine the success of our struggle for the genuine and long-pending demands of NHM employees.”»

JKNHMEA reiterated that all decisions regarding the forthcoming programme will be taken collectively and democratically, with every organizational unit being taken on board.

JKNHMEA Kashmir Division Condoles the Demise of NHM Employee Meenakshi Devi

Srinagar, July 30: The Jammu & Kashmir National Health Mission Employees Association (JKNHMEA), Kashmir Division, expresses profound grief and heartfelt condolences on the untimely demise of Ms. Meenakshi Devi, who was serving as an FMPHW under the National Health Mission (NHM) at Sub-District Hospital Parole, District Kathua.

The Association stands in solidarity with the bereaved family during this hour of immense sorrow and prays to the Almighty to grant them strength, courage, and patience to bear this irreparable loss. The invaluable services rendered by the deceased in the healthcare sector will always be remembered with respect and gratitude.

Abdul Rauoof, Chief Spokesperson, JKNHMEA Kashmir Division, said:

"The passing away of Ms. Meenakshi Devi is a great loss to the NHM fraternity. She served with dedication, compassion, and commitment to public healthcare.
