This is to report that Mudasir Ahmed Mir, son of Gh. Mohiudin Mir, resident of Sarmarg, has been missing since the morning of July 14, 2025. He was last seen in Tengpora, Srinagar, where he was working on a vehicle weighing machine (Kannda).

Despite efforts by family and acquaintances, his whereabouts remain unknown.

Veteran marathon runner Fauja Singh, revered worldwide as a symbol of endurance and inspiration, passed away on July 14 at the age of 114. He was struck by an unidentified vehicle while out for a walk near his native village, Bias, in Punjab’s Jalandhar district.

The tragic incident occurred around 3:30 pm, when Singh, known for defying age and redefining human limits, was crossing the road. His demise was confirmed by author Khushwant Singh, who had chronicled his extraordinary life. “My Turbaned Tornado is no more,” he wrote on X. “It is with great sadness that I share the passing of my most revered S. Fauja Singh. Rest in peace, my dear Fauja.”

Fauja Singh became an international icon after completing marathons well past the age of 100, proving that grit, discipline, and a positive spirit could outrun even time itself. His legacy now lives on — not just in record books, but in the hearts of millions inspired by his unstoppable stride.
