✅ How to Read a Micrometer (Using This Image)

🔹 Step 1: Read the Main Scale (Sleeve)

The last visible full number is 7 mm

One 0.5 mm line after 7 is also visible
✅ So, Main scale = 7.50 mm

🔹 Step 2: Read the Thimble Scale

Find the line on the thimble that aligns perfectly with the horizontal line on the sleeve.

In the image, the aligned thimble line is at 38
✅ So, Thimble reading = 38 × 0.01 = 0.38 mm

---

🧮 Final Micrometer Reading:

7.50 mm (main scale) + 0.38 mm (thimble) = 7.88 mm
