How to Start Small

​You don’t need to throw your phones in a lake to see results. Try these "micro-detox" boundaries:

2.​The Golden Hour: Agree to stay off devices for the first hour after waking up and the last hour before sleep.
3.​The "Airplane Mode" Date: Go on a walk or out to dinner with both phones on airplane mode, tucked away in a bag or pocket.
