இறுதி கட்ட படப்பிடிப்பு முடிவடைந்தது.

கடந்த வருடம் படப்பிடிப்பு தொடங்கி தற்போது நிறைவடைந்துள்ளது. இரண்டாம் உலகப்போரை அடிப்படையாக வைத்து எழுதப்பட்ட கதை இது. கதையின் தன்மையைப் பொறுத்து அதற்கான படப்பிடிப்பு நாட்கள் தேவைப்பட்டன.
எங்களால் ஒரு முறை மட்டுமே படப்பிடிப்பு நடத்த முடியும்; reshoot செய்யும் வசதி கிடையாது. காட்சிகள் தரமாக வர ஒளி, ஒலிப்பதிவு, இசை, ஆடை, செட் அமைக்கும் பணி, நடிகர்களின் பயிற்சி, சண்டை வடிவமைப்பு, VFX, தயாரிப்பு மேற்பார்வை என அனைத்து துறைகளிலுமே அதீத திட்டமிடல்களும் மெனக்கெடல்களும் தேவைப்பட்டன.
ஒரு வகையில், அனைத்து காட்சிகளையும் cheat செய்து அந்த உலகை காண்பிக்கும் முயற்சிகளே இவை.
ஒவ்வொரு படப்பிடிப்பு நாளுமே மிக அழுத்தமான நாளாகவே இருந்தது. எதையும் மிகைப்படுத்தி எழுதவில்லை — மிக மிக அழுத்தமான நாட்கள்.
பெரும் பொறுப்பை நாங்கள் சுமக்கிறோம். அதில் முக்கியமாக பணச் சிக்கனத்தையும், அதன் ஊடாக நாங்கள் காப்பாற்றிக்கொள்ள நினைக்கும் எங்களுக்கான கலையையும் சமநிலைப்படுத்தி போராடிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறோம்.
ஆங்கில படங்களுக்கு நிகராக நம் படத்தின் காட்சிகளை அமைக்க வேண்டும் என்ற முனைப்பு மட்டுமே எங்கள் கனவாக உழைப்பாக மாறியுள்ளது. ஆனால் முரண் என்னவோ, அவர்களிடம் உள்ள பொருளாதாரமும் மற்ற பல வசதிகளும் நம்மிடமில்லை.
பின் ஏன் இதுபோல கதை களத்தை எடுக்க வேண்டும், மற்றவர்கள் போல நீயும் வழக்கமான கதைகளை ரசிக்கும் படி சொல்லிவிட்டு போகலாமே என பலர் என்னிடம் கேட்பார்கள். என் மனம் வழக்கமான திரை அனுபவத்திற்கு settle ஆகவில்லை.
நான் என்னிடம் உள்ள கொடாரி கொண்டு மலையை அசைக்க முயற்சிக்கிறேன். என் கொடாரி மாயாஜாலம் செய்யக்கூடியது என நான் அறிவேன். மந்திரங்கள் சரியாக வந்துவிட்டால் மலை அசைக்கப்படும்.
படப்பிடிப்பிற்குப் பிறகான பின் வேலைகளை தொடங்கிவுள்ளோம். இன்னும் 4–5 மாதங்களில் படம் முழுமை பெறும். பிறகு நீங்கள் காணுங்கள் எங்கள் பயணத்தின் அனுபவங்களை.

The final phase of shooting has come to an end.

What began last year has now reached completion. This story is written against the backdrop of World War II, and because of its nature, it demanded a long and carefully planned shooting schedule.
We had only one opportunity to shoot; there was no room for reshoots. To bring quality to every frame, immense planning and effort were required across all departments — lighting, sound recording, music, costumes, set work, actor training, stunt design, VFX, and production supervision.
In many ways, every scene was an attempt to creatively cheat and recreate that world on screen. Each day of shooting carried intense pressure. This is not an exaggeration — they were truly demanding days.
We carry a great responsibility. Most importantly, we continue to fight to balance financial limitations while protecting the art and vision we are trying to preserve.
The desire to shape our visuals on par with international cinema has turned our dream into hard work. But the irony is, the financial strength and many of the resources available to them are not with us.
Many ask me, “Why choose a story like this? Why not tell something familiar and comfortable, like others do?”
But my mind never settled for ordinary cinematic experiences.
I am trying to move a mountain with the axe I have in my hands. And I know that axe holds its own magic. If everything falls into place, the mountain will move.
We have now begun post-production work. In another 4–5 months, the film will be complete. Then, you will witness the experiences of this journey for yourselves.
