A slow day, a full heart, and a fuller stomach 💛🧿 Here’s what a chill day around Chennai looked like for me — saving this plan for anyone who wants to spend a foodie day out 🍽️👇🏽

Started the day with a mirror selfie 😌 and then straight to Vasantha Bhavan Signature .official for breakfast Soft idlis, creamy pongal. If you’re ever around, this combo is a must.
My fav is thr peanut chutney . If you’re looking for a nice ambience no disturbance you will love VBS . It’s my go too spot with Frnds to have a nice food n convo

For lunch, we either order from Rama’s Hyderabadi - a classic!

Or you can go to My fav one is . Been having their meals and hyderbadi biryani for months and it never disappoints.

Around 4 PM, we strolled through Anna Nagar and stopped at Kora Food Street. There’s a small coffee stall next to Badam milk stall there that serves filter coffee in a mud cup — ₹30 and surprisingly GOOD. It’s got a mild earthy flavour that makes it different than most regular filter coffees.

Not a coffee person? Just cross the road to Chayaa and Kadi — one of our go-to places for snacks and sips. Try their Turkish milk cake — soft, creamy, and worth every bit of ₹110. Tastes better than many overpriced café desserts tbh. They also have great chai, snacks, and fresh juices.

By 5:30–6 PM, we hit up this tiny beef stall near a slaughterhouse (sounds sketchy but trust me 😭) — they serve the BEST beef tawa fry and beef pakoda with idiyappam. It’s very old, no ambience, no parking — but if you care about flavour over frills, this is it.

Ended the day with a walk at Shenoy Nagar Park, and then came back to Anna Nagar for dinner.
For dinner, my usual pick is Crave — love their burgers.

Or you can try Frysto for their cheesy mac & chicken bowl. So indulgent and worth it.

All these places are personal faves — tried, tested, and revisited often 💯

Not your regular buffet — this one felt personal, flavourful, and absolutely worth !

Tried the Bohri Dawat at Welcomhotel Chennai and I must say — the menu was limited but perfect.

✅ Starters & Biryani stole the show — every bite was full of depth and flavour.
The dishes were warm, authentic, and beautifully plated — no fillers, just the real deal!

The ambience was stunning and the service? Absolutely top-notch.
It felt more like a royal food experience than a typical buffet setup.

✨ If you’re in Chennai and want a wholesome, curated dining experience, this is worth trying.

Let’s make malai chicken gravy 🔥🔥🔥🔥- follow us for more content ❤️
Ingredients
For chicken marination

Chicken - 450 - 500 gms cleaned
1 tsp-ginger garlic paste
1 tsp salt
3 -4 tbs yogurt (hung curd)
1 tsp garam masala (no chili powder included)
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp kasuri methi

For the masala base

2 cardamoms
1½ cups onions sliced
¾ inch ginger peeled & sliced
3-5 large garlic cloves peeled & sliced
½ - 1 cup full fat milk or regular milk - I suggest full fat milk with malai too !!!
Cashews 20-25 soaked in water .

To fry the chicken. -shallow fry it in butter mixed with oil . If ur using salted butter. Add less salt while marinating the chicken

Final step -

1 - 2 green chili slit open
1 cardamom
Pinch of cinnamon
Milk
1 tsp Garam Masala
2 tsp pepper powder
½ teaspoon kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
Fresh cream - shake the bottle before using . Add 4-5 tbs and mix it and serve .

Add salt in final .

Serve

Don’t boil after adding fresh cream. Keep in low flame for 2-3 min and serve ❤️
