⚡ Continuous Power Cuts in Tandur — Public Concern Rises as Officials Remain Silent ⚡
📍 Darkness on the streets of Tandur, and silence from the administration is adding to the confusion

For the past two days, Tandur has been facing frequent power outages, severely affecting daily life. While we truly appreciate the efforts of the ground staff (linemen and helpers) working tirelessly to fix the issues, the complete lack of communication from the AE (Assistant Engineer) and ADE (Additional Divisional Engineer) has left the public frustrated.

📌 Families with young children, elderly citizens, and even patients are struggling without power.
📌 Some hospitals even reached out for updates, but received no clear information.
📌 A brief spell of rain and strong winds recently exposed how fragile the local system is — raising concerns about how things will hold up during the upcoming monsoon season.

👉 On a positive note, we are sincerely thankful to those working on the ground.
However, it’s now essential that:

MLA and department heads come forward and address the public

A clear action plan is announced for both current issues and monsoon preparedness

A public response mechanism is put in place to ensure timely updates and coordination

💬 The people of Tandur are not just complaining — they’re hoping for a better, more responsive system.
At this moment, what we need is mutual cooperation and transparent communication, so we can not only solve today’s issues but also build a stronger system for tomorrow.

Fire Breaks Out at SBI Karankote Branch Due to Short-Circuit

Karankote: A fire broke out at the State Bank of India (SBI) branch in Karankote earlier today, reportedly due to a short-circuit. The incident created panic in the area as thick smoke was seen billowing from the building.

Firefighters from Telangana Fire Services rushed to the spot and managed to control the blaze, preventing further damage. Local police and bank officials also reached the site promptly to assess the situation.

Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported so far. The extent of property damage is yet to be estimated. Further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.

Protest in Tandur Against Wagf Amendment Bill Following Juma Namaz.

TANDUR: Shortly after the conclusion of Juma Namaz today, a peaceful protest broke out in parts of Tandur, as dozens of locals raised slogans opposing the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2025.
The protestors expressed deep concern over provisions in the bill that allegedly compromise the autonomy of the Muslim community in managing Waqf properties. Holding placards and chanting slogans, the participants demanded a rollback of the bill, calling it an infringement on religious and constitutional rights.
The protest remained peaceful, with a strong emotional undercurrent reflecting the community's connection to Waqf heritage.

Road Improvement Initiative Completed on Gowthapur Road, Tandur

Under the direction of Tandur MLA, Buyyani Manohar Reddy, a 700-meter stretch of the previously damaged Gowthapur Road in Tandur has been successfully resurfaced with Bituminous Treatment (BT) today. The project, aimed at enhancing road safety and accessibility, was closely monitored by Town President Syed Habeeb Lala.

This road improvement is part of a broader commitment to improve infrastructure in the Tandur area, offering safer and smoother travel for local residents. The newly resurfaced section will alleviate the challenges faced by commuters and supports the ongoing efforts to enhance Tandur road network.

This issue has persisted for years, with no signs of resolution or progress. Despite numerous complaints and requests from the local community, the road remains in a deteriorated condition, causing significant health problems and safety concerns for everyone in the area.

Years of Neglect: Why the Roadwork Hasn’t Started or Completed
