- The BMMU Tawang celebrated the 77th Independence day with rest of India with great pomp and show. The event sequences as official flag hoisting at office and followed by moving to Parade ground and celebrated with SHG mother's and rest of the district. Two stalls were allocated to the SHG mother's and a mega dance was also presented by the SHG mother's, which was first of its kind at parade ground on such auspicious occasion. The dance received huge appreciation from the audiences and VIP dignitaries and the VIPs too joined along with SHG mother's to dance to the beat at ground. The program was a huge success and of great satisfaction.

Field visit at Gyangkhar Village for the beneficiary of Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana (ANKY). of Tendrel Self help group. Was impressed to see how they are very well maintaing the field and setting good examples to the fellow SHGs as progressive farmers. The vermicompost pit was also impressively maintained and generating livelihoods through it as well. The field shown was maintained organically with vermicompost, without any involvement of pesticides or insecticides.. The BMMU team wishes them good luck for future endeavours ahead as well.

Deputy Commissioner of Tawang, Sir Kanki Darang having field visit and inspection with the beneficiary of Atma Nirbhar Baghwani Yojana (ANBY) with the Self Help Groups of Wong SHG that had acquired 6 hectare of walnut plantation (Beneficiary of 2021-22)at Temilo Village. This is a huge boost and motivation factor to the hardworking farmers and SHGs to do more and be self reliant.
The Deputy Commissioner advise the SHGs to take proper care of the plants and saplings like their own children and take timely interventions from various line departments in times of need and assistance. The importance of Atma Nirbhar was also made aware and to be practical at field as well.
