9th March 2026, The President Mon Dhagpa Mirror Shri Sonam Thilley, Secy. The recent contribution drive at Dolma lhakhang during Monlam Chenmo was successfully concluded with huge support from the general public. The drive specially aiming to extend financial assistance for the critically ill patients like suffering from liver, kidney, heart, paralysis etc exclusively for Dhagpaneng area received enormous help from the public and a whopping amount of Rs. 6,94,101 (six lakh ninety four thousand one hundred one) was collected as contribution. The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Lumla shri Tashi Dhondup and other eminent dignitaries in whose presence the contribution box was unsealed, lauded and praised our society Mon Dhagpa Mirror for such initiatives and assured every possible support for such noble acts in the future. The collected amount will be disbursed to the needy patients of the Dhagpaneng area within a month after receiving all the details of the patients and this shall be carried out by a committee formed under the ADC Lumla and the members of the Mon Dhgpa Mirror.
Our society Mon Dhagpa Mirror extends its full gratitude to all the general publics who have generously contributed towards this noble initiative and shall remain ever indebted cooperating the society for successful conduct of contribution drive........

A contribution drive to support patients suffering from kidney, liver, heart, and other life-threatening diseases in the Dhagpaneng region has been initiated by the Mon Dhagpa Mirror during the sacred Monlam Chenmo at Yumchen Dolma Lhakhang.

The initiative reflects a collective spirit of compassion and community service, bringing people together to extend financial and moral support to those in need during the auspicious prayer gathering.

The Block level Drugs and Substance Abuse Awareness Campaign was organised by Mon Dhagpa Mirror in collaboration with General Administration Jang at CO office Bongkhar for the vulnerable sections of society of Bomja, Kharung and Bongleng villages on 17th August 2025.
The awareness campaign was attended by ZPM Mukto Shri Thutan as Chief Guest and CO Bongkhar Miss Tage Moonya as Guest of honour in the esteemed presence of GBs and PRI members of Kharung and Bongleng villages along with the huge turnout of students, teachers and villagers of Kharung and Bongleng villages.
Medical Officer Bongkhar Miss Pema Tsomu highlighted upon the health effects of drugs and substance abuse , OC I/ C Jang Police station briefed the gathering regarding the legal implications and penalties of banned drugs and substance abuse while Advocate Passang shared his valuable insights and personal experiences of youngsters ruining their lives due to this menace.
Shri Sonam Thilley, President Mon Dhagpa Mirror highlighted the society's activities and vision so far and dealt in detail the social impacts of such drugs and Substance abuse .
Such social issues and causes needs the collective and collaborative efforts of all the stakeholders of the society to stay and keep our younger generations from this drugs and Substance Abuse awareness.

Block level Drugs and substance Abuse Awareness Campaign was held on 12th of July 2025 at the Zomkhang hall of Dutongkhar circle, organised by Mon Dhagpa Mirror in collaboration with General Administration Lumla in the August presence of Smt Tsetan Droma, CO madam, Ajati Mimi,Officer-in Charge Lumla police station and Shri Sanjay, MO Dutongkhar PHC as esteemed resource persons. The program was attended by the Gaon Budas, PRI members, general Public,Teachers, students of NSCBAV Namtsering, PM Shri GUPS Kuntse and NSCBAV Sazo.
Various Village Level Drugs Control Task Forces were formed to check and control any such cases of drugs and substance abuse cases in the grass root level - villages!
Such awareness campaigns are indeed very much needed at such block levels to sensitise and spread the awareness amongst the youths and the younger generations in order to stay away from the dreaded drugs and substance Abuse.

It was truly a very delightful and encouraging moment to deliberate and discuss upon one of the most burning issue inflecting our society- Drugs and Substance abuse !!
Mon Dhagpa Mirror has taken the social cause of spreading drugs awareness campaign in and around Dhagpaneng ( Lumla) with the collaboration of Sub- Divisional administration, leaders and other stakeholders of Lumla constituency. Our dynamic and vibrant HCM sir was very encouraging and positive to give a very patient hearing about our society's vision and mission and promised to render every support and cooperation from the department and administration in our future endeavours.He was very much appreciative of our initiatives with regards to drugs related issues that is slowly engulfing the younger generations and sought the action taken report of Mon Dhagpa Mirror after six months in spreading Drugs awareness campaigns and substance abuse .

The monthly meeting of the esteemed founding members of Mon Dhagpa Mirror was held as usual in the last day of the month on 31st May 2025 at circuit house Lumla.
Thereafter the esteemed members offered temdrel( temree) to Shri Tsetan Chombay, HMLA of 5- Rupa Kalaktang Assembly Constituency. The meeting with him was very insightful and encouraging as the HMLA gave his valuable advices and encouragement for the future endeavours and social service activities of Mon Dhagpa Mirror.

A spiritual talk show on spiritualism and Buddhism by Reveren Aka Tulku Tsering Chainjee Rinpoche was organised by Mon Dhagpa Mirror and sponsored by HMLA madam Lumla 1(ST) Assembly Constituency at Karma Wangchu Convention hall Lumla today. The program was very insightful wherein General Secretary of Indian Himalayan Council of Nalanda Buddhist Tradition Shri Maling Gombu, Mandal President Shri Sonam Topgey ,HMLA madam and the teachers and students of GHSS Lumla, KGBV Lumla, NSCBAV Melonghar took part and gained spiritual blessings and knowledge from the His eminence Aka Tulku Tsering Chaijee Rinpoche! Question hour round was very fruitful and successful for the students and teaching staffs and other dignatories.
This spiritual talk show was organised under the aegis of Mon Dhagpa Mirror and the President of the society Shri Sonam Thilley offered a token of love and appreciation on behalf of Mon Dhagpa Mirror to the Reveren Aka Tulku Tsering Chaijee Rinpoche.
