Doda Police Solves Theft Case Within 24 Hours; Two Accused Arrested, Stolen Property Recovered*

Doda, 02 August 2025:

In a swift and efficient response, Doda Police cracked a theft case within 24 hours of its reporting, demonstrating their commitment to prompt justice and community safety.

On 01 August 2025, Farooq Ahmed Naik, son of Javed Iqbal and resident of Parmaz Road, Doda, reported that unknown individuals had broken into his rental home by damaging window panes and committed theft. Acting on the complaint, Police Station Doda registered a case under FIR No. 182/2025, U/S 331(4), 305 BNS.

Under the directions of *SSP Doda Sh. Sandeep Mehta-JKPS*, a Team was formed to crack this case. The team was led by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday (SHO, PS Doda) and PSI Meenaksh. Using CCTV footage and technical surveillance, the police identified and arrested two accused individuals:

1. Najeeb Iqbal, son of Mohd Iqbal, resident of Pull Doda (Age: 33 years)
2. Anant Raj, son of Girdhari Lal, resident of Bhatta Parryote Doda (Age: 30 years)

Following their interrogation, the police recovered Indian gas cylinders, and a formal recovery-cum-seizure was carried out in connection with the case. The investigation is still underway, and further developments are anticipated.
