South Auliya Trust Donates 35 Wheelchairs to GMC Anantnag: Dawoodi Calls for Simplicity in Life and Marriage

Anantnag, August 1:South Auliya Trust J&K, under the leadership of Chief Patron Abdul Rashid Dawoodi, donated 35 wheelchairs to GMC Anantnag on Thursday. The move came in response to concerns raised by patients about the shortage of wheelchairs at the hospital.

Speaking to the media, Abdul Rashid Dawoodi said, “We received a call from one of my colleagues who informed me about the lack of wheelchairs here. We took immediate steps to address the issue. It is our responsibility as human beings to support one another in times of need.”

He further emphasized the Trust’s continued commitment to public welfare and added, “We strive to provide every possible support for the betterment of society.”

Highlighting the spiritual significance and daily footfall at the location, Dawoodi also urged the district administration and the Waqf Board to establish a dispensary and make a doctor available in the area, which sees thousands of devotees daily.

In response to a media query on the growing trend of late marriages, Dawoodi attributed it to social pressures and the pursuit of high-status lifestyles. “People are becoming more focused on status and material comparisons,” he said. “Simplicity is the essence of life. We must return to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and adopt simple marriages to overcome societal challenges.”

Encounter breaks out in Kulgam woods

Kulgam, Aug 01: An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the Akhal forest area of Devsar in south Kashmir's Kulgam district on Friday, officials said.

A top police official told news agency Kashmir News Observer, that a joint team of police, Army, and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the area following specific inputs about the presence of terrorists.

He said during the search operation contact was established with the hiding terrorists. "The exchange of fire is going on and further details will be shared accordingly," he said—(KNO)
