Ghodbunder Road: Citizens are hereby publicly appealed that the work of loading 6 Metro Coaches on the Metro Rail track at Anandnagar Junction on Thane GhodbunderRoad Lane has been escalated from 24/8/2025. So far, Two Metro Boggies and the Engine have been mounted on the track. The concerned Dept have been given permission by the Traffic Police carryout the specific work till 06.00 am on 26 August 2025.Official notification has been issued & published by the Traffic Police.While loading the said Metro Boggies, the road leading from Thane to Ghodbunder will be single line at DMart & LMV & SUV Vehicles will take a Left turn from D Mart & divert towards Anandnagar from the road stretch Opposite Kasarwadavali Police Station & also the Anandnagar Signal the vehicles will transit to their desired destination. Directional Sign-Boards will be installed at every place on the road from D-Mart to Anandnagar Signal and they will work to guide the direction to the vehicles. Please Co-operate with the Citizens. Ghodbunder Road: At around 12:06 Pm today; a Luxury segment BMW CAR MH47K 0634 Driven by the owner Prem Narayan Baliyar Singh was on his Route fom Lodha Splendora, Ovala to Manpada,Thane on the Lane from Ghodbunder to Thane. This Luxurious segment Four wheeler was cought in flames. No one was reported to be injured in the incident. Three people were travelling in the car who got out of the Car safely no sooner did they notice the flames. Due casualty, the vehicular traffic approaching from Ghodbunder to Thane was closed for about one hour resulting in a traffic congestion on the very busy Ghodbunder Road. The fire at the spot was completely extinguished around 12:45 pm by fire brigade accompanied by the RDMC staff....

GhodbunderRoad: An tragic accident occured in the morning @7.55 hrs at NaglaBandar Signal.The injured man in the accident;Ritesh KishoreChheda, 24 Kandivali(E)HanumanNagar, AkorliRd, Mumbai has been hit on the hand.The injured woman, Revati Ravi Prakash Yadav, 28 yrs old, residing in Kandivali(E) Akorli Rd,HanumanNagar, Mumbai have been hit on the head. She is undergoing treatment at Titan MedCity, Ghodbunder Road Kasarwadavali Hospital. Both are in stable condition.A Private travel bus hit the scooter from behind on the Ghodbunder - Thane route at Nagla Bandar Signal. The driver of the scooter suffered minor injuries and the Pillion rider seated sustained injuries.They were immediately shifted to Vedanta Hospital by an Autorickshaw for treatment.The scooter has been moved aside.The Private Bus which had drover over Divider was removed. Traffic is moving smoothly....

THANE(GB.ROAD) The Thane Police Commissionerate have issued a traffic advisory due to road work yet again at GaimukhGhat on the very busy Thane- Ghodbunder Route from August 8th till 11th August 2025. The asphalting project aims to improve the road's geometry, ensuring smoother travel. Temporary traffic changes will be in place to facilitate efficient vehicular movement & avoid congestion. Heavy vehicles from various directions will be rerouted via alternative paths, while emergency services remain unaffected. Stay informed and plan your travel accordingly to avoid delays.

IN FLAMES ON GHODBUNDER ROAD🔥
Ghodbunder Road: According to the information received at around 2:34 pm today, a Gas Tanker of Tripti Gases Company, MH 43 BG 8187 caught on fire on the Patlipada Bridge, Ghodbunder Road,Thane on the transit lane from Thane to Ghodbunder.The Tanker's driver:Lalchandra Yadav was on the of route from Mahape to Gujarat.The tanker contained 19 Tons of liquid argon/Argon gas,Non-Flammable Compressed Gas.As soon as the tanker caught fire, the driver immediately stopped the vehicle for safety reasons and jumped out of his vehicle. The Fire was completely extinguished at arnd 3:05 pm.The fire cought in the gas tanker resulted in a major vehicular congestion affecting traffic on GhodbunderRoad.This tanker was being removed from the bridge with the help of a crane...

GB.ROAD: In the early morning hours of Saturday, a significant accident occurred beyond Vijaygarden signal Opp:Panchamrut Bus Stop near Wagbill on Ghodbunder Road in Thane, when an Oil tanker carrying 32,000 litres of boiler oil collided with stationary Break-down truck parked on the road.The incident, which occured around 4:20 am resulted in Driver sustaining serious leg injuries. The tanker on its route from Sewri to Sinnar, lost control and rammed into a truck loaded with 10 tonnes of wood. The driver, trapped in the cabin due to the impact, was rescued & was hospitalized. The vehicular traffic on the busy Ghodbunder Road was disrupted for arnd 45-60 mins due to snarl vehicle movement. Fortunately, there was no oil spill to create obstacle for routine commuters. The mishap vehicles were later towed to by Hydra-Crane to clear the busy route to normalcy.
