Chief Saurabh Rao honoured Shaurya Ambure,Harsh Raut who Won Silver medals at Asian Games*
Thane: Shaurya Ambure from Thane won a Silver medal in the hurdles event at this year's Asian Youth Games held in Bahrain. While Harsh Raut Won a Silver medal in the Relay event at the 4th South Asian Senior Athletics Championship.Both these athletes are being praised everywhere & today Thane Civic Commissioner Saurabh Rao honoured both these athletes on behalf of the people of Thane and wished them well for their future endeavours. Additional Commissioner Sandeep Malvi, Deputy Commissioner Minal Palande, Additional Commissioner of Police Avinash Ambure, Rupali Ambure, Thane District Athletics Association Secretary Ashok Aher, Joint Secretary Rajendra Mayekar, Treasurer Bhupendra Thanekar,Member Eknath Povale, Senior Statistician Ramesh Kharkar, Coach Ajit Kulkarni, Nilesh Patkar and parents of the players were present on this occasion.Shaurya Ambure achieved her best performance so far and won the silver medal in the 100 meter hurdles race by recording a time of 13:73 seconds. Shaurya,a 16 year old athlete is studying at Universal School in Thane,while Harsh Raut won his second international medal by winning the silver medal in the 100 meter relay. Harsh Raut is a player of the Athletics Association of Thane Municipal Corporation.The Thane Civic authority is implementing various training schemes to produce the best players. Also, the necessary facilities are being provided to the players through the Civic Corporation and the Municipal Corporation is always supportive to the players, Commissioner Saurabh Rao said, wishing both the players all the best for their future careers. The Civic Commissioner also honored their coaches Ajit Kulkarni and Nilesh Patkar, who regularly practice with them, and praised their parents who encouraged these children...
