Miss.Vaishnavi Shaji, a student activist, who participated in a protest demonstration in University of Kerala against the full rendition of Vandemataram in the campus function was brutally attacked by male police injuring her face leaving a bleeding wound near the left eye. Her fighting spirit was reminiscent of my student days. It reminded my sfi days during emergency period though I had not encountered such bloody situations sustaining injuries. The blood that oozed from the wound inflicted by male police just below her left eye is a burning red fluid from the crimson heart which commands unfailing memory of it.
