Kerala has launched the Keralam GCC Boilerplate, a government-enabled soft-landing framework aimed at making it easier for global companies to establish Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in the state.

The framework offers ready-to-move office space, dedicated facilitation from day one and six months of rent-free operations in government IT parks. A dedicated 20,000 sq ft plug-and-play GCC facility is also planned in every Keralam IT Park.

Kerala currently hosts 50+ GCCs and has set a target of 150 GCCs by 2031.

Technopark is moving ahead with the expansion of its Phase IV campus at Technocity, seeking a ₹350-crore term loan to complete the ambitious QUAD IT Building.

The project, estimated at ₹432.57 crore excluding land cost, will have a built-up area of 8.97 lakh sq ft, adding significant new IT infrastructure to Technopark.

Technopark plans to contribute ₹82.57 crore from its internal resources, while the proposed loan is expected to be repaid primarily through rental revenue generated by the project.

Expressions of Interest have been invited from scheduled commercial banks and financial institutions. The deadline for proposals has been extended to September 15 to enable wider participation and competitive pricing.

Once operational, QUAD is expected to increase Technopark’s capacity to accommodate more companies, attract further investment and create additional employment opportunities at the Phase IV campus.
