Instagram Photostrip new Story Feature | Latest Update Changes

Photostrip is Instagram’s new sticker that turns 3–4 photos into a vertical film-strip collage right inside Stories. Think old-school arcade photo booth, but for your Story.

What it does
- Takes 3 or 4 photos and arranges them in a vertical strip with a vintage photo-booth look
- Drops the strip onto your Story as a floating sticker you can move, resize, rotate
- Gives Stories that messy-cute, nostalgic vibe Gen Z is using for dumps, mirror pics, blurry flash selfies

How to use it
1. Open Instagram → swipe right for Story camera
2. Pick or take a background photo for your Story
3. Tap the Sticker icon → select Photostrip sticker
4. Choose 3–4 photos from your camera roll
5. Instagram auto-builds the strip. Drag it around, resize, rotate it over your main photo
6. Add music, text, more stickers if you want → post to Story

Notes
- You need the latest Instagram update. If you don’t see it, update the app
- Photos are picked from your gallery, not taken in-app
- The strip looks like a physical film strip with white borders, very Tumblr/2007 sleepover aesthetic
- It’s part of Instagram’s push to make Stories feel more casual and creative without needing third-party apps

People are using it for “mini photo dumps” instead of posting single pics. If you don’t have the sticker yet, you can fake it with the Layout feature + white bars using the Deco font, but the real Photostrip sticker does it in 2 taps.

Instagram's new Instants Feature in Chats | How to turn on/off | Latest Update Changes

Instants is their Snapchat/BeReal-style feature for quick, unedited photos that vanish after being viewed.

What is Instants?

1. Ephemeral photos: You take a photo in real time and send it to friends. It disappears once viewed and can’t be accessed after 24 hours
2. No edits or filters: Photos must be captured in the moment. No uploads from camera roll, no filters, no editing. You can only add a caption before sending
3. Where it lives: Tap the mini photo stack in the bottom right corner of your Instagram inbox/DMs
4. Who sees it: Share to your Close Friends list or to mutuals - people you follow back
5. Privacy built-in: Recipients can’t screenshot or screen record Instants. There’s also an Undo button right after sending to retract before it’s seen

Key features

- Replies + reactions: Friends can react with emojis, reply, and send an Instant back. Replies go to DMs
- Private archive: Instants you send are saved privately for up to 1 year. Only you can see them. You can compile them into a “Recap” to post as Stories
- Snooze: Hold the inbox stack and swipe right to temporarily stop seeing incoming Instants without blocking anyone
- Teen safety: Covered by Instagram’s Teen Accounts + Family Center. Parents get notified when the Instants app is installed, and Sleep Mode applies 10pm-7am

Instants app
There’s also a standalone Instants app for iOS and Android, rolling out in select countries. It opens straight to the camera for faster sharing, but it’s fully connected to Instagram. You don’t need it – Instants works inside the main Instagram app too

How to use it
1. Open Instagram DMs → tap the photo stack icon bottom right
2. Take a photo – no gallery uploads allowed
3. Add caption if you want → Send to Close Friends or mutuals
4. Recipient views once, then it’s gone. You can undo before they open it

The point
Instagram says Instants is for “casual, unfiltered, low-pressure” sharing vs polished feed posts and Stories. It’s basically Instagram’s answer to Snapchat + BeReal

Youtube's Picture in Picture Playback Feature is now Free

YouTube is rolling out Picture-in-Picture for free to everyone worldwide. Previously, PiP was only free in the US. Outside the US you needed YouTube Premium. Now Google is making it free globally on Android and iOS.

How it works:
Start a video in the YouTube app, then swipe up or press home. The video shrinks into a small floating window you can move around while using other apps. Tap it for play/pause or to go back full screen.

The catch:
1. Free PiP only works for “longform, non-music content”. Music videos still require YouTube Premium
2. It’s rolling out gradually. YouTube said it will reach “all users globally in the coming months”
3. On iPhone you need iOS 15 or newer

Premium users: No changes. Premium Lite still gets PiP for non-music. Full Premium gets PiP for everything including music

If you don’t have it yet: Update the YouTube app and wait for the server-side rollout.

Here’s how to turn YouTube Picture-in-Picture on or off:

For Android:
1. Open Settings on your phone → Apps → YouTube
2. Tap Picture-in-picture
3. Toggle Allow picture-in-picture on or off

Also check inside YouTube:
Profile icon → Settings → General → Picture-in-picture → toggle on

For iPhone/iPad:
1. Open Settings on your phone → General → Picture in Picture
2. Turn on Start PiP Automatically

Profile icon → Settings → General → Picture-in-picture → toggle on

Note: You need iOS 15+ on iPhone. If you still don’t see PiP after turning it on, update the YouTube app. The free rollout is server-side, so it might take a few weeks to hit your account.

Whatsapp Chat Backup Encryption Security Feature

WhatsApp chats are end-to-end encrypted, but backups to Google Drive or iCloud are not by default. That means Google or Apple could access them.

End-to-End Encrypted Backups fix this. When you turn it on, your backup is locked with a password, 64-digit key, or passkey using your fingerprint/face. Only you can unlock it. WhatsApp, Google, and Apple can't read it.

How to enable:
Settings → Chats → Chat backup → End-to-end encrypted backup → Turn on

Important: If you forget your password/key/passkey, you lose the backup forever. WhatsApp can't recover it for you.

As of late 2025, you can use passkeys instead of remembering long codes, making it much easier.

Bottom line: Turn it on if you want your cloud backups private.

How it works:
1. Open website with the above link
2. Click Play: The game loads in your browser using WebAssembly + reVC, a reverse-engineered Vice City engine
3. Start instantly: Initial load is only ∼56MB. Rest of the map streams as you drive
4. Devices: Works on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS. Just need a modern browser like Chrome or Edge

Features:
- No download/install: Runs entirely in browser
- Controls: Keyboard + mouse on PC, touch controls or gamepad on mobile
- Saves: Local saves work. Cloud saves via js-dos if you sign up
- Resolutions: Supports all screen sizes, portrait + landscape on phones

The catch:
It’s a limited demo. You can roam freely, but story progression stops at the Ocean View Hotel checkpoint, which is the first mission. To play beyond that, you must upload your own legally owned GTA Vice City game files. The site verifies them with checksums.

Important notes:
1. This isn’t an official Rockstar release. It’s a fan port using reverse-engineered code
2. Rockstar has never released an official browser version
3. Legal status is gray. DOS Zone claims it only processes files users provide and doesn’t distribute copyrighted assets
