Tiruchirappalli’s Teppakulam is a vast man-made tank, famous for its serene waters and the majestic Mariamman Temple at its center. Built during the Nayak period, this architectural marvel is linked to the history of the Rockfort Temple and the reign of King Thirumalai Nayak. Every year, Teppakulam becomes the stage for the grand Float Festival (Theppotsavam), where beautifully decorated deities are taken around the tank in illuminated floats, creating a magical spectacle under the night sky. It’s not just a place of worship, but a cultural landmark that captures the charm of Tamil heritage.

ஏன் ஆடி வெள்ளி கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது?

1. 🔱 அம்மன் வழிபாட்டிற்கு சிறந்த நாள்:
ஆடி மாதம் முழுவதும் சக்தி வடிவமான அம்மன் – துர்கை, காளி, மாரியம்மன் போன்ற தேவியருக்கு சிறப்பு வழிபாடுகள் நடைபெறும். வெள்ளிக்கிழமைகள் பெண்களுக்கும் சக்திக்குமான தினங்களாகும்.

2. 🌺 பெண்களின் நலனுக்காக:
திருமணமான பெண்கள் கணவன், குடும்ப நலனுக்காகவும்,
கன்னியாஸ்திரிகள் நல்ல வரன் கிடைக்க வேண்டியும்
ஆடி வெள்ளியில் விரதம் இருந்து அம்மனை வழிபடுகிறார்கள்.

3. 🌧️ மழைக்காலத்தையும் வரவேற்கும் காலம்:
ஆடி மாதம் இயற்கையில் மாற்றம் ஏற்படும் நேரம். மகா சக்தியான தாயை வழிபட்டு, இயற்கையின் சக்தியுடன் ஒத்துழைந்து வாழும் முறையாகும்.
