Ancient Tribal Legends of a Secret City
The British explorer didn't just rely on an ancient book; he also gathered information from the indigenous people of the Amazon. He had numerous conversations with local chiefs who, he claimed, corroborated the stories of ancient cities hidden deep within the jungle.
One chief told him tales passed down from his grandfather about a magnificent waterfall city, built by his ancestors. However, the explorer noted a strange detail.
He believed the city was built not by the local "brown or Polynesian type" tribes, but by an older, "fair or red type" of people. These local legends provided another layer of evidence, suggesting the stories of "Z" were part of the jungle's own oral history.
