Instead of a 2-kilometer-deep city, what is a more realistic explanation for the anomalous satellite data? It's likely a combination of Giza's complex natural geology.

The "vertical shafts" could be deep, water-filled fault lines or natural fracture systems in the limestone. The "cubic chambers" could be larger natural caverns or areas where different rock strata meet. The Giza plateau is a dynamic geological environment.

To believe an ancient civilization could manage this on a city-wide scale, 2 kilometers deep, for thousands of years, requires us to assume a level of technology and engineering prowess that is truly beyond science fiction.

The Flaw of Building Next to a River

If you were planning to build a massive, deep underground city, the first rule would be to avoid building it right next to one of the world's largest rivers.

The Nile River dominates the geology of the region. Its high water level, annual floods in ancient times, and the way it drains the surrounding groundwater make the Giza bedrock a perpetually wet and unstable environment for deep construction.

The location is simply not logical for such an undertaking. A far more sensible place would be miles out in the dry desert, away from the influence of the river. The location itself is one of the strongest arguments against the "lost city" claims.
