*Two Drug Peddlers Arrested with He**in in Separate Cases at Majalta by Udhampur Police*

Udhampur, October 16:

*Police Station Majalta:-*

During routine naka duty at Battal a scooty bearing registration No. JK14J-5544 traveling from Manwal towards Battal driven by Mohd Sharif S/O Mirza Khan R/O Dhamma, Majalta, was stopped for checking.

During his personal search, 5.69 grams of he**in was recovered from his possession.

In this regard, Case FIR No. 84/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Majalta and the accused has been arrested.

In another instance, during patrolling near Majalta Morh, one person coming from towards the Majalta on foot was stopped by the naka party. The person identified himself as Gafoor Ali S/O Mohd Sadiq R/O Damma, Tehsil Majalta, District Udhampur.

During his personal search 5 grams of he**in was recovered from his possession.

Accordingly, A Case FIR No. 85/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Majalta and the accused has been arrested.
Further investigation in both cases is underway.

*Missing Lady Reunited with Family by P/S Basohli*

Kathua, 13 October 2025 :- J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma IPS* traced out one missing lady in the jurisdictional area of PS Basohli and reunited her with family members.

On 28-07-2025, one person namely Jeevan Kumar S/O Sh Govind Ram R/O Village Mandla Tehsil Basohli District Kathua came in this P/S and lodged a written complaint regarding missing of her daughter namely Manisha Devi, age about 20 years. On receiving a complaint a missing report entered at this P/S Basohli vide GD No. 12 dated 28-07-2025 and a team of P/S Basohli led by I/C SHO Basohli PSI Swarn Singh Manhas under the supervision of SDPO Basohli searched various places and checked Road side CCTV camera installed and with the help of technical assistance along with timely human intervention, recovered the missing lady .After completing all legal formalties the said missing Lady handed over to her legal heirs. Moreover missing report stands closed vide DDR No. 08 dated 13-10-2025.
