*Hotel Owner and Management of Hotel Samrat, Booked for violation of Foreigners Act by Udhampur Police*

Udhampur, October 09

During routine checking of hotels conducted by the Police team of PS Udhampur, it was found that the owner/management staff of Hotel Samrat, Udhampur had failed to submit Form C, a mandatory online report for all foreign guests staying at their property, as required under the Foreigners Act.

It was further revealed that a few days earlier, a foreign national had stayed at the said hotel, but the owner/management staff failed to report the stay to the SSP Udhampur who is also the Foreigners Registration Officer, as mandated under law.

Accordingly, a case FIR No. 359/2025 under Sections 7/14 of the Foreigners Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur. Further investigation is underway.

Udhampur Police advises all hotels, guest house, and lodging establishment owners to strictly adhere to legal provisions concerning the accommodation of foreign nationals and ensure timely submission of Form C to avoid any legal action.
