*One Bottlegger arrested, 10 liters desi liquor recovered at Dudu by District Police Udhampur.*

Police team of Police Post Dudu led by its ICPP was on patrolling duty, while patrolling near Pachound No. 01 intercepted one person who was trying to hide himself on seeing the Police Party. The said person was taken into custody and identified as Mool Raj S/O Onkar Chand R/O Pachound No. 01, Tehsil Latti, Udhampur.

During frisking approx. 10 liters of desi liquor recovered from his possession.

*Most wanted Drug peddler arrested, Contraband He**in recovered in Roun domail by Udhampur Police*

Udhampur

Police Team of Police Post Roundomail led by IC PP Roun while performing Patrolling/checking duty at near Tawi bridge, intercepted one suspicious person who was turned to be suspicious as he turned back and start moving backwards on seeing police team but was apprehended.

Upon frisking of said person namely Abhinandan Khajuria S/O Devinder Kumar R/O W.No 02 Udhampur. Police team recovered 5.60 grams of He**in like contraband substance from the above said accused person who has been arrested on spot.

In this regard, A Case FIR No. 223/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Udhampur.

*Another Notorious Drug peddler behind Bars, Contraband He**in recovered by Udhampur Police*

Police Team of Police Post Battal Ballian led by its IC PP while performing Patrolling/checking duty at near flour mill Loundana road, intercepted one suspicious person who attempted to evade the police by turning back and walking away upon noticing the patrolling team which raised further suspicion.

On the frisking of said person namely Akhilesh Sharma S/O Lt. Sh. Vipin Kumar R/O W.No 02 Udhampur.

Police team recovered 5.99 grams of He**in like contraband substance from the above said accused person who has been arrested on spot.

In this regard, A Case FIR No. 224/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Udhampur.

*Bovine Smuggling Attempt Foiled, 08 Bovines Rescued in Latti by District Police Udhampur*

Acting on reliable information, police team from PS Latti led by its SHO intercepted a group of 08 bovines near the Chappad area, where these bovines were being transported illegally on foot without any valid permission.

All the bovines were rescued on the spot. Bovine smuggler namely Mohd. Shabir S/O Abdul Gani R/O Jig, Chenani was arrested on the spot.

In this regard, a case under FIR No. 08/2025 has been registered at Police Station Latti under the relevant sections of law.
Further investigation is underway.

*Notorious Bovine Smuggler Booked Under PSA by Udhampur Police*

In a significant move to curb criminal activities in the District, Udhampur Police have booked and detained Makhan Lal S/O Madan Lal R/O Chanunta, Ramnagar, a habitual bovine smuggler under the J&K Public Safety Act (PSA). The detention order was issued by the District Magistrate Udhampur.

Makhan Lal has been involved in several bovine smuggling cases registered in the district. Despite multiple FIRs and previous arrests, he continued his illegal activities, posing a serious threat to public peace. Consequently, he has been booked under the PSA and lodged in jail.
His persistent criminal behavior has disrupted the peaceful atmosphere of the region, prompting the authorities to take strict action under the Public Safety Act.

KATHUA;14 JUNE: - J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena IPS* apprehended 01 hardcore criminal/Drug Peddler who was involved in various criminal cases at PS Billawar booked under Public Safety Act 1978( PSA) and lodged at District Jail Udhampur.

On dated 14/06/2025 Police team of P/S Billawar under the close supervision *SDPO Billawar Sh. Neeraj Padyar & SHO PS Billawar Insp. Zaheer Mushtaq* apprehended one hardcore criminal namely 1. Arun Javed S/o Salam Din R/o Dadwara Tehsil Billawar District Kathua who is hardcore Criminal /Drug Peddler involved in various criminal cases .
In order to prevent the illegal activities within the district, "Dossier" was prepared against the accused person and sent to the District Magistrate Kathua for his detention under Public Safety Act- 1978 (PSA). Accordingly District Magistrate Kathua issued a detention warrant vide order no .PSA /163 Dated 12/06 /2025 against the accused person under the Public Safety Act 1978. Accordingly, the warrant has been executed today and he has been lodged in District Jail Udhampur to curtail his illegal activities.
Locals of the Kathua district and Particularly Tehsil Billawar have appreciated this initiative of J&K Police Kathua.

*Bottlegger held in Panchari, 12 bottles of illicit Liquor recovered by Udhampur Police*

Police team from Police Station Panchari led by its SHO while performing patrolling duty at near Domail- Panchari road recovered 12 bottles of illicit liquor (750 ml each)from the possession of one person who has been arrested on spot.

The arrested person has been identified as Sanjay Singh S/O Kapoor Singh R/O Kudal Sadota, Panchari.
In this connection, A case FIR No. 23/2025 under sections 48 (a) Excise Act stands registered in Police Station Panchari and further investigation is underway.
