The Hunphun Elders' Forum has raised serious objections to the alleged "illegal dispersal of funds" amounting to nearly Rs. 3 crore as compensation for land and standing properties acquired for the ongoing two-lane construction of the Ukhrul-Toloi-Tadubi section of NH-102A. The forum claims the compensation has been disbursed to individuals unrelated to the land, bypassing legitimate landowner — the Hunphun village community....

In what is being anticipated as another momentous demonstration of Naga solidarity, the United Naga Council (UNC) has issued an open invitation to the entire Naga community to attend a grand Civic Reception in honor of GPRN Ato Kilonser Thuingaleng Muivah on October 29, 2025, at Tahamzam (Senapati) district headquarters. The reception, slated to be held at Senapati Stadium from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm, comes shortly after the highly successful homecoming ceremony for the Ato Kilonser held recently in Ukhrul district....
