After 7 months, Traffic Towing Vans are back in Ulhasnagar Camp 4 & 5, but still inactive in Camps 1 to 3.
On one hand, MLA Kumar Ailani has strongly opposed the towing van system, keeping it halted in his area. On the other hand, MLA Dr. Balaji Kinikar remains completely silent even after backlash from Camp 5 residents and traders.
Is this fair enforcement or just selective policing?
From past accidents to untrained towing staff seen again, the question is:What’s really changed - the system, or just the announcement?

Another alarming incident occurred on Section 17 Road, near the HP Petrol Pump, opposite Jai Jhulelal Auto Parts. According to eyewitnesses, a man riding a bike with two young girls lost balance due to the uneven road surface. As a result, all three fell and a three-year-old girl was knocked unconscious, lying motionless on the road for nearly 10 minutes! leaving bystanders in shock.

Just days ago, a family of four, including two young children fell from their bike at the same spot after hitting a pothole. That incident was caught on camera and widely circulated on social media. Despite media coverage at the time, no permanent action was taken by the Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation (UMC).

Now the question is, What exactly does UMC want? How many more lives will be risked due to their negligence? This repeated negligence has raised serious questions about the role of UMC and the accountability of contractors responsible for road work in the city. Locals demand immediate repair of the road and strict action against those responsible before another innocent life is harmed.

Ulhasnagar’s popular but Controversial Dolphin Hotel is now under a dark cloud after a disturbing video surfaced showing rats crawling freely through the customer dining area.

The video, recorded on Sunday, June 15, by a concerned diner, shows multiple rodents scurrying beneath tables and near customer seating. According to the individual who captured the footage, he was seated in the restaurant when he noticed the unsettling movement and decided to record what he describes as ‘shocking and unhygienic.’

‘If this is the state of the dining hall, one can only imagine what’s happening inside the kitchen,’ the diner commented. He further added that when questioned, hotel staff casually responded that if rats are not coming to your table, it shouldn’t be a problem, brushing off the serious health concern.

The video has triggered outrage among local citizens and raised urgent questions about hygiene compliance at some of Ulhasnagar’s most visited food spots and restaurants. While the taste and ambiance of such establishments attract large crowds, this incident serves as a grim reminder that the real story often lies behind the kitchen doors, away from public view.

Residents are now demanding that the Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation take strict action from surprise inspections to possible closure until the hotel meets public hygiene standards.

With the video now making rounds on social media and among media circles, Dolphin Hotel is facing mounting pressure to explain how such negligence was allowed to continue unchecked.

A brief spell of rain was enough to expose the poor drainage system in Ulhasnagar, as several areas witnessed severe water logging. Some streets submerged up to several feet. Commuters faced immense difficulty navigating through flooded roads and vehicles were seen struggling in knee-deep water.

Locals expressed their frustration, pointing out that despite crores of rupees being spent annually on nullah cleaning and monsoon preparedness, the results remain negligible. ‘Every year, we hear about large budgets for drain cleaning, but the situation repeats itself with the first rain,’ said a resident.

Citizens have taken to social media to share videos of the chaos, demanding accountability from the municipal authorities and questioning where the funds are actually being utilized.
