*District Police Doda Organises Inter-School Debate on Drug Abuse at Police Public School Doda*

In a significant step towards engaging the youth in the fight against drug abuse, District Police Doda, under the guidance of *Senior Superintendent of Police Doda Sh. Sandeep Mehta (JKPS)* , organised an inter-school debate competition at Police Public School (PPS) Doda on Saturday. The event was hosted at the District Police Lines (DPL) Doda and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across ten schools in the district.
Students from institutions such as Police Public School Doda, Chenab Valley Public School, Shaheen Public School, Green Model Higher Secondary School, Aeir Public School, Skylark School, Government Middle School Nagri, Asrar-ul-Iqbal Academy, and Kids Kingdom School came together to express their views on the pressing issue of drug abuse. The young speakers passionately articulated their thoughts, emphasizing the importance of awareness, community responsibility, and youth leadership in eradicating the growing drug menace.
The competition was graced by ASP Doda Sh. Mohd Aslam (JKPS) as the Chief Guest and DySP DAR Sh. Adil Rishu (JKPS), who also serves as the nodal officer of PPS Doda, as the Guest of Honour. The jury comprised Mrs. Rubina, ZEPO Doda, Sh. Shabir Ahmed, Senior Lecturer in Political Science, and Sh. Ayaz Mughal, Retired CEO Doda — all of whom applauded the high level of insight and delivery demonstrated by the participants.
In a closely contested event, Sanvi Manhas, a Class 7 student of Police Public School Doda, emerged as the winner of the first prize for her eloquent and well-reasoned argument. Usaid-bin-Liyakat of Shaheen Public School secured the second position, while Maahnoor Niear from Green Model Higher Secondary School Doda claimed third place with her thoughtful presentation.
All participants were honoured with medals and certificates of participation as a token of encouragement and appreciation for their efforts.
Addressing the students, ASP Doda Mohd Aslam JKPS praised their confidence and urged them to become ambassadors of change in their respective communities. DySP DAR doda Adil Rishu also lauded the initiative and encouraged continued student involvement in awareness campaigns and social responsibility programs.
The event concluded with a collective pledge to work toward building a drug-free society and a vote of thanks to all who contributed to the success of the programme
