*Terrorist from Srinagar killed in Pulwama encounter*

Pulwama, Apr 11 (KS) : The terrorist killed in Pulwama Gunfight has been identified as Srinagar resident.

An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that acting on specific information regarding the presence of a terrorist in village Frassipora area of Pulwama, a joint cordon & search operation was launched by Police, Army (53RR) & CRPF (183Bn) in the said area.

During the search operation, as the joint search party approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorist fired indiscriminately upon the joint search party which was retaliated effectively leading to an encounter.

In the ensuing encounter, a terrorist was neutralised & his body retrieved from site of encounter.

Terrorist was later identified as Danish Sheikh resident of Srinagar of proscribed terror outfit LeT/TRF. From the killed terrorist, arms, ammunition & incriminating materials was recovered.

In this regard, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation has been initiated.

People are requested to cooperate with Police till the area at encounter site is completely sanitized and cleared of all the explosive materials, if any he added. (KS)

*1 Militant Killed As Gunfight Rages in Pulwama, Searches Underway*

Srinagar, April 11:(GNS) An unidentified militant has been killed after an encounter broke out in wee hours between militants and security forces in Frasipora area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district on Thursday.

A top police officer told GNS that during wee hours an input was recieved about presence of some militants in the area.

As the joint team of army and police intensified the searches towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants opened fire on the search party, leading to an encounter, the officer said.

During the firefight an unidentified militant's body has been sighted near the encounter, while searches in the area are underway, the top police added.

It has now been confirmed that the the aid workers targeted & killed by Israel were travelling in a "deconflicted zone" in two armoured vehicles that were branded with the World Central Kitchen logo and that it had coordinated their movements with the Israeli.
