Today the Hon’ble Health Minister. Sakina Itoo tweeted that facilities like a CT Scan for GMC Jammu, MRI machines for GMC Baramulla, Kathua and Rajouri, a Cath Lab for GMC Doda, and a PET Scan for GMC Srinagar are being provided.
My question is: has anything been kept for the people of Kupwara? Our SDH handles more than 2000 OPD patients daily and covers 8 medical blocks. Is it not the right time to upgrade Kupwara into a Super Specialty or a full District Hospital?
Let us also not forget, it was under your government when Kupwara was deceived — a District Hospital board was installed here but nothing on the ground was delivered. Do you consider the people of Kupwara’s 8 medical blocks as human beings? Every day patients from Tangdar, Machil, Jumgand, Kalaroos, Morie, Nari Kot, pary nad metabagh ,shundi Sogam, Trehgam, Laddah, and Safawali depend on Kupwara Hospital, yet they are forced to travel to Srinagar or Baramulla for advanced treatment.
How long will the people of Kupwara have to bear this injustice?
