Three Bovine Smuggling Attempts Foiled; Eight Bovines Rescued, Accused Arrested

Poonch, 15/12/2025
As part of its continued drive against illegal activities, District Police Poonch laid specific naka checks today, resulting in the interception of three vehicles involved in bovine smuggling. During the operation, 08 bovines being transported in violation of law and District Magistrate orders were rescued.

Legal Action:

02 FIRs registered at Police Station Surankote

01 FIR registered at Police Station Gursai

All accused involved in the smuggling attempts have been arrested

The vehicles involved have been seized, and investigations are ongoing. District Police Poonch remains committed to strict enforcement of law and preventing illegal bovine transport in the district.
