Missing Girl Reunited with Family by Police Station Gursai
Poonch, October 30, 2025:
Continuing its commitment towards prompt public service and effective policing, J&K Police Poonch, under the overall supervision of SSP Poonch Sh. Shafqat Hussain JKPS, successfully traced and reunited a missing girl with her family in the jurisdiction of Police Station Gursai.

On 30.07.2025, one Javid Iqbal S/O Mohd Rashid R/O Gursai, Tehsil Mendhar, District Poonch, lodged a written complaint at Police Station Gursai regarding the missing of his daughter, Amna Kouser (Age 18 years). Acting on the complaint, a missing report was entered and a dedicated police team was constituted to trace the girl.

With sustained efforts, technical assistance, and timely human intelligence inputs, the team of Police Station Gursai successfully traced the missing girl and ensured her safe recovery. After completing all legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs.

District Police Poonch continues its dedicated efforts to ensure the safety and security of citizens, especially vulnerable sections, through swift response and coordinated action.

سنا ہے موضع سنجواں بٹھنڈی میں آپ کی 3 کنال زمین کے حقوقِ ملکیت منتقل ہو چکے ہیں، مگر قبضہ 10 کنال سے زیادہ پر ہے۔
کیا آپ خود اس ناجائز قبضے سے دستبردار ہونے کو تیار ہیں یا حکومت کی بیدخلی ٹیم کا انتظار فرمائیں گے؟

اور اگر یہ زمین واقعی سرکاری یا جنگلاتی حدود میں آتی ہے، تو تعمیر کی اجازت نامہ ایوان میں پیش کر دیجئے تاکہ شفافیت کا وہ معیار قائم رہے جو آپ دوسروں سے توقع رکھتے ہیں۔

ویسے آج پی۔ڈی۔پی کے رکن اسمبلی وحید پرہ کا وہ بل ریجیکٹ کر کے آپ نے ثابت کر دیا کہ "حقوقِ ملکیت" صرف خواص کے لیے مخصوص ہیں، عوام کے لیے نہیں۔"

Jammu University campus Dingla hosts two days workshop on "Emerging Trends in Silk Farming"
The Poonch Campus, University of Jammu organized two days workshop on Silk farming highlighting the latest techniques and innovation developed for the strengthening of sericulture practices. The workshop aimed at empowering students with advanced knowledge of entrepreneurship and its promotion in the field of sericulture to enhance sustainability of sericulture. The event commenced with the welcome address by In-charge Department of Sericulture, Poonch Campus Dr. Jasmeena Qadir who outlined the objectives of the program and stressed on the importance of latest trends employed for development of sericulture. Director of Poonch Campus, Prof. Rakesh Vaid graced the occasion as Chief Guest and motivated the students by his inspiring words and encouraged them to enhance their skills and embrace innovation in the sericulture field during inaugural of the session. Dr.Tabasum Naaz and Dr. Aurangzeb Anjum Assistant Professors, Department of Zoology, SKC-GDC Poonch were also present on the occasion and enriched the workshop with their valuable insights and added depth and positivity to the entire event. Dr. Mohammad Azam, Principal, SCS-GDC Mendhar and Dr. Arti Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Sericulture, SKC-GDC Poonch were the Guest Speakers and delivered a valuable and informative lectures on latest developments in the field of sericulture and encouraged the learners for the use of latest techniques, innovations and skills developed for the sustainability of sericulture.
The M.sc sericulture students of Poonch campus gave a brief introduction about them and shared their insights on sericulture practices operated in district Poonch and across Jammu and Kashmir. The program was followed by a vibrant cultural performance which added charm and enthusiasm to the occasion. The session concluded with insightful remarks by Director Poonch Campus who appreciated the efforts of the organizers and encouraged the participants to continue learning and exploring new ideas. The workshop was attended by a large number of undergraduate students of Sericulture and Zoology from SKC-GDC Poonch whose active involvement made the workshop lively and successful.The workshop will continue for another day with further sessions tomorrow.
